In races that tires wear out i cant make it around the track once before they are in orange, even red and i need to pit every single lap.  What am i doing wrong because the computer is jumping ahead of me when my tires wear down.  What do you do on these races?  what cars do you use in the amature league?

Wow, I'm a little suprised to hear they wear out that fast.  Try using a harder tire.

I did use a harder tire and it wore out in two laps.  Is it my cars?  I have a mustang SVT and a Lancer GSR, both with all the mods possible that will give better handling and speed.

Hmmm, My tires usually wear out completely in about 6-7 laps. For long races I dont think that Mustang will cut it... but the lancer should be ok. Make sure you have the maximun weight reduction as this will help and Slicks on the car. If that doesnt help try getting a light weight import car that can have a LOT of horsepower and you shouldn't have anymore problems.

Depending on how much top speed i need VS acceleration I use either my Viper or my 3000GT. There both light as hell and extremely fast. Ususally I'll last about 5 to 6 laps on mediumly hard courses on a very hard course I'll get about 2-3.

My tires usually last 6 or 7 laps.  they definately wear more if you skid more, you if you are the kind of driver that likes to go top speed sideways around turns then this may be at least a partial explanation.  But I can't see it making THAT much of a difference.

Check the tire positions, camber, toe, and the suspension over all. Some setups with camber and toe can increase wear under braking, as an example.

Hi, all I can say is, your not on your own with this problem, from my visits to other sites, many others seem to be finding the same problem with tyres, especially in the long races.
