Where do you drag?
Are you good?
Do you tune yourself or let other people tune your cars?
What cars do you drag?

Please give more info than just 4 words.

It seems like you are new to GTPlanet. We have people from all nationalities and who speak different languages here (their first language isn't english), so please post using correct grammar and full sentences. It makes it easier for them to understand.
Thanks.

Thats what I told him. Ive been looking at alot of low hp cars to tune. Ive had my I on the supra srz and a couple celicas. Also been trying to find out how to get all of the horses out of the gto 5.7, so powerful but to dang heavy. Ill mess with it suspension tonite and see if its a difference

Shiftgear im sorry i realized u were right about the gtr but do u have any car suggestions i shud tune ?

Gtr s only work with shorter 1st gears, it doesnt even have to be 0-60. 45 or 50 would do. Also close middle gearing helps because that 1st gear will push them all out to top speed.

Now my 5th and 6th gear is top secret ( twin monster), so you on your own.

Learn your suspension, it helps with speed.

I meant any type of car u wud recomennd to drag tune

Well ive started adding the low hp cars to my tune garage, they are just a better challange for me.

Some good cars would be

Celica s
Civics
Gto s
Rx7
Holdens
Supra srz
Mr2
Z2Seaters

And many more. You have to like tuning to want to deal with some of these cars though.

Here we go.

I'm good, I run a r8 with 815hp tuned! It needs to be dialed in but I'm almost done, let me know.

I do have a gtr drag tuned a zo6 and a buick special 62 tuned

I do have a gtr, a z06 and a Buick 62special drag tuned.

But i dont run gtrs its un fair

But I don't run gtrs because it's unfair.

Shiftgear im sorry i realized u were right about the gtr but do u have any car suggestions i shud tune ?

Shiftgear, I'm sorry I realized you were right about the gtr, but do you have any car suggestions I should tune?

Cud u help me tune em

Could you help me tune them?

I meant any type of car u wud recomennd to drag tune

I mean any type of car you would recommend to drag tune?

Dude tranny tuning alone is a big deal and challenging.

Speed set and finale gear set would be diffecult to tell since I cant give you my actual setting.

You really have to have your own style of tuning

At least some advice and im online when this update finishes

What actual advice do you need?

example: someone asked me online yesterday how does final gear work, and why do you have to set your speed at low if the car supposed to go fast.

What are your area`s of concern?

Im confused about setting the first few gears .... And im goin to be running the 2 seater is it fast ?

its only fast if your gears are set to push out the speed, while applying proper suspension tuning to freind along with it. This is how you get the most out of the 700+hp beast.

you have to find ways to get your gears close as possible. This is what tuners dont want to tell.

Toy around with the gears.

Ok thanks man

dont feel bad, you have to teach yourself in some situations.

Im teaching myself how to tune 1/4 drag by reading, going into indy rooms and listing to pro tuned cars just to get an idea of how that type of drag work.

Also being a spectator at other gears gives you a better idea also, only if you know how to work set speed and final gear in a bunch of different ways

Also known as, STEALING TUNES.

Also known as, STEALING TUNES.

No its not because that tune is set up by how you set speed and final gear, and thats what is missing from the spectator. You can look all you want but if you cant install it then you are dead in the water.

Just like I told the other guy how his gears should be. I never told him how to do it.

What spectating can tell you:

  • What gear to launch in.
  • If you should short shift.
  • When do you shift.
  • What RPM do you shift at.
  • What RPM should you top out at.
  • What speed you should top out at.

Don't Spectate, it will land you a boot 99% of the time.

Don't Spectate.

Dude you cant be serious, you would have to have some knowledge of tuning to even understand most of that.

I mean really, whats a noob gonna do after speculating? Go put his top speed all the way up and try to move his gears together hoping it works?.....I dont think so.

Suspension tuning also factors.

tunes are based off of numbers that are understood by one.

If you are bad at math you will never pass the final exam no matter how many times youve tried to cheat on ones paper. ” food for thought”

Understanding it is not the hard part, but to figure out what numbers to put in IS. Example? You want the longest launch gear possible without bogging. Choices? Test n tune, or spectate and see what other people are shifting at.

tunes are based off of numbers that are understood by one.

Exactly. So if you understand AND spectate you can make sense of the numbers, therefore stealing someone's hard work.

......What the :odd:

Ask anyone else the same questions and they will respond the same way.
