I'm going into college soon, so it's time I finally bite the bullet and look into a laptop for school. I don't really have any sort of idea as to where to look for a laptop as I've never liked using them. I'm looking to spend around $500 but willing to spend more for a better quality laptop if needed.
I'd like to do some simracing on it and some casual gaming, so I'd like something that runs iRacing and rFactor and such decently. Keyword decently. I don't need to run them at the highest settings at 120 fps, just enough to enjoy the game without having to make too many sacrifices to do so.
Also looking for a laptop with an HDMI out so I can connect it to a monitor when I'm at home.
TL;DR Need a laptop in the $500 range that can decently run games and has HDMI out.
Thanks for any suggestion you give me
