Looking for clean and decent racers to add to my friends list.

I really don't know in which forum this should go, although I assumed, since I prefer races of 10 laps or under, I'd post it here.

As the title, says, I'm short on people who like to race on my Friends List. I would race with randoms, but for every good room, there are like 5 bad rooms. So yeah. My preferred settings are below, but really, I'll race anything.

Any HP (Road cars preferred)
Any Weight
Any PP
Any Drivetrain
All assists off
5-10 laps of a normal circuit
Sports Soft tires (But higher is also ok, as is lower. I just prefer S3.)

Damage Off/Weak
Boost Weak (Don't flame me, but the race just gets so much more competitive. But any level of Boost is ok really)
Grip Real
Am I missing anything?

I like clean racing, but I'm also a bit of a believer in the "Rubbin' is Racin'" philosphy. I belive that obviously you should avoid contact whenever possible, but if you nudge someone in a corner by accident, there really shouldn't be anything wrong with it. Sure, if you spin him/her, give back the place, but no more IMO. Although I will race clean if host wants.

I'm looking for people who can host, but also people who need someone to host (I have 50Mbps internet, lol.)

^^^ Feel free to come by my room any time guys. GFxJg, I fit your criteria, though I always run spec races from the recomended garage (so no one can tune or modify, same exact equipment) or set cars that are bought and left with no tuning or adjustments to aero, suspension, gearing etc. (though this is on the honor system) which makes it a 100% drivers battle. The one caviat is that I never run boost. The draft tractor-beam is enough to ensure that drivers of equal skill will have some great battles, and eliminating boost inspires folks to improve their driving if they are off the pace. We have a ton of wicked fast folks coming through, but encourage drivers of varying skill levels to join as the battle in mid pack can be just as intense as the front. Always keep it clean, racing incidents do happen but anything more than the slightest of accidental nudges without backing off will get you a warning and then a boot. Hope to see you around!

This was 'one' of my original posts (its been suprising to me not only how hard its been to find some good clean racers out there, but also to get people to reply to my posts! lol)

Adding to that post, I prefer races with fixed pp and or bhp/weight. Tyres IMO should be representative of the cars performance, I mean you wouldn't have something with 500bhp+ running Comfort Mediums now would we! :-) I Enjoy Spec racing from time to time, but I also like racing my upgraded production cars too. Anything from 10-15 laps, upto 1 - 1.5 hour races (mini enduros). I also like to use my headset if you're into chatting about all things cars/GT/setups. (oh word of warning, I'm from the North East of England, so not everyone will 'get' my accent ;-p)

At the moment, my connection speeds are a disaster, waiting for fault diagnosis from BT on what the prob is, so I may have issues in the short term hosting/joining.

Awesome, everyone who races around 8-12 EST in this thread add me. PSN is on the left over there.

I'm also looking to find clean racers. If you spot me online, join whatever room I'm in and it will most likely be exactly what the OP is looking for. I'll assume the same is true with you guys, so I should be easier to find clean room this way.

Admittedly I'm not the best driver in the world but I'd just like to race against people who are racing for real and do not bump into eachother.
 
Hi Guys
I am also a fan of clean racing and using g27. Just started to play online and Skill not that good, but at least i dont bang into people purposely. All assist off, except abs1, I avoid collision as best as I can. My time zone is GMT+8... not sure can meet u guys... I also don't race so many laps. Wow u guys really can race so many laps as 10? Seems very pro. Over in my country we race 2-3 laps only haha.

I hold races every Saturday night at 7pm EST (Race for a free car) thread and welcome everyone that's a clean driver. Being respectful is more important to me than being fast. I'd add everyone on here but I've found over time that the ones that say "add me" usually don't show and the ones that add me are the drivers that actually want to participate. Feel free to add me PSN: F1_DRAGON_USA if you want a steady Saturday race event with clean competitive drivers and an ever changing event venue.

I understand, but if your up at midnight UK? Your welcome to stop in. Actually about 3-5 racers from UK race with me every weekend. Most of the guys I race with including myself are over 40, it's a race if you can that weekend group that's a bit more mature than your avg. run of the mill online room.

I'm +1 from UK, so that's 1 AM... I don't think I'll be up there lol :P And I'm 15 :P
 
I'll add you mate. I've looked at joining leagues but just can't always be on at a set time on a set day. I just like racing 450-600pp whenever i can get online. Mostly road cars but depends how i'm feeling lol.. I'd rather have a clean close races than the "win at all cost" attitude of some. I don't drive like i'm the only one on track :)
 
Feel free to add me, not the best at online racing, usually come in last, but I do like a good clean race, if I'm last or not, I usually host a few races in my lounge whenever I'm on, and if there is interest.

Check out Legend of the Streets (LotS). We've got a system which overcomes the time zone differences and certain time commitments like you mentioned but still have very competitive races. A little different but last season, we had about 20+ active players.
