I would like to know what some of the things are to look out for with these cars keep in mind I'm In Germany and some of the models are hard to find ex
I'm was looking for a prelude si wich is almost impossible to find . Most common ones are 2.0l i versions
2.2 vtec are mostly automatics unfortunatly
Any advice on any of these cars would be helpful

In the USA, I owned an '01 Accord LX 4-door manual for 3 years. Not one problem with it from when i bought it new. The gear lever was perfect for shifting, good speed on the freeway, easy to drive in New York City traffic, good fuel mileage, plenty of room in the cabin and boot. The 2.3l(150hp? if I can recall) left so much room in the engine bay(as a V6 was offered), everything is easy to access(changing belts, headlight bulbs, etc).

I guess you'd be looking to get a CL7 Accord Euro or maybe an earlier model. If my '01 is any indication of the ease of Honda ownership(I owned an '04 Civic Si and '05 Odyssey as well), I'm sure any Prelude or Accord will be just fine. Have fun shopping. :)

Yeah I've owned a 96 accord back in like 07 -08 great car loved it. It was the v6 vtech amazing engine. Thing is in Germany Germans don't think highly of Japanese cars and you can hardly find one they exist but it's mainly Audi, Mercedes, Bmw one benefit is we get the Honda type r and right hand drives here easier.
I currently Own a 93 vw golf vr6 which is not bad. But what's killing me is I pay nearly 1700 in insurance a year im hopeing Honda is cheaper .

A 3000GT in no way, shape, or form, will have cheaper insurance than a twenty year old Golf.

I had VWs before the Hondas(an '88 GLI 16V/ VR6 Conversion, '86 Jetta 2-door and '92 Passat GL.).
I missed the high revving 1.8, but the VR6 made long tips easier.

Since you lived with both marques and insurance being your main concern. I guess a bit of homework is all you have to do.

Yeah I know I mean insurance is high but it's not something I couldn't afford . It's just when you add it up that's a decent used car a yr on insurance. Plus it's like a Honda in the States everyone has a golf . Also it has close to 300k km and costly repair problems are starting to come around wich with work I don't have time to fix myself ....

A 3000GT is not what you want if you don't want to fix things, either.

My cousin bought a 3000GT VR4 about a year ago. Was in good condition, was stock, had service records to almost when it was new in 1997, was only a two owner car, he had it checked out by a mechanic before buying it, and it was fairly low mileage (something like 64,000). It took all of 6 months before something broke on it (seals on one of the turbos failed, iirc) that he couldn't afford to pay someone to fix, because they are impossible to do pretty much anything easily on yourself; so it has been sitting in front of his house since then and he's had to go back to driving his Camry.
