If you have a DFP/G25, yes you can. The left and right axis of the d-pad causes you to look left and right.

That was in GT4, we can only assume it will be in GT5.

In GT5P demo you could even look back through the rear quarters (like turning your head to see through the rear passenger windows), in full GT5P release you can 'only' look forward, back, left and right, hopefully full GT5 will have the quarter angles aswell. Like daan said with a wheel that has a d-pad.

Although I think some members have figured out you can reassign buttons so you can do it with the sixaxis d-pad also.

Any idea what the those controlls are? I had it set up that way in GTHD, and really miss it in GT5P. Not to mention some of the cars i cant really see the mirros so being able to look and check it quick would be sweet.

ok, but on gt4 on os2 i cant look to the sides with a controller? sup?
No, you can't lokk to the side on GT4 if you use a controller.

I managed to do it with the controller. just go to the menu translations thread on this website. in there check what the different tabs mean and try to remember what the look left/right ones are. Then go to options in GT5P and then into the controler with a D-pad on it. Scroll up or down to which ever button you want to asssign for looking and click on the tab, then look for the look left/right option you translated on the thread. simple as that, also a digital cammera helps so you dont neeed to remember
