The game now offers two (or three) default setups for every car (plus "OEM" for how roadcars are set up from the factory). "Stable" is designed with gamepad users in mind, while "Loose" is intended for wheel users, but players can use either setup according to their preference.

Thanks bro for explaining

But why Auto name setups doesn’t work for cars name and track ???

Are the loose Setups faster in principle? Haven't looked into it. I'm on Controller and using the loose Setups feels pretty good. At least in GT3 Cars.

Yes in principle, but obviously finding the right settings for you personally may turn out faster.

I thought it was originally a glitch with the names of the tunes, until somebody noticed there was also a stable... then i knew it clearly wasn't a "problem"

It does not appear that we can save over the SMS made tunes.

The tunes are a little more loose and a little more stable than the default tune. I am finding the same thing with the race engineer. The suggestions help a little, but tend to change only a few items the slightest bit. I have not seen a case where dampers, camber, tire pressures or LSDs have been changed. I might be too early in the game but seems that there is a lot more to gain by building custom tunes for yourself.

There are two Setups for each car. They are pr-esaved and I think you can't override them.

Edit: The Setups are named Stable and Unstable. You just have to select/load them.

but where do i change it too stable??
I see that the description is loose in the save setup, but i can not change it too stable ??!!

Mine keeps going back to the loose setup. I'll pick stable for qualifying, get to the race and it's back to loose. Constantly have to remember to change it.

It's incredible how that car has felt in so many games. First was GT6 and it was wild. That game never did mid-engine cars exactly right. Then Project Cars 1 and that annoying turbo sound every single time I let off the gas. I didn't drive it that much but I always felt it was too much to handle but in PCars2 it's perfect.

Its good in Assetto Corsa as well.

I haven't touched Assetto Corsa since a few weeks before the latest DLC came out on PS4. I don't like the visuals. Feels flat and muted. Not lively at all.

Changing to Stable tune has saved the game for me - well, that v2 and resetting my G29 FFB mess.

Actually enjoyed the game properly for the first time last night, and will now go back and start a career with the intent to finish it today.
So many hidden gems/options in this game makes it a frustrating quest to enlightenment and generally a good game.

I've only tried switching one car over to stable and it didn't seem to change it much but then again it was the BMW Turbo from group 5 which is wild to begin with. I want to try it on a road car and see what it does to it.

Not the right topic but speaking of amazing cars, the Radical SR3-RS is like driving on rails it's so good On a controller with no assists (because I'm too lazy to set up my wheel) and it's not impossible to keep control.

Feels immense though and graphically its much more stable on PS4 than PCars 2 is! PCars 1 looks much better than it though.

I'd be interested to know what all you did to set your FFB on your wheel. I'm using a G27 through a Cronos max Adapter but can't seem to get the right feel with the wheel. Maybe just need to work harder at it, Lol.

I wonder if this is why the demo Lambo handles great while the full game Lambo is bloody awful, Chance of it being on a different setup from the demo/full game?

I'm interested too since I've a G29. Can you please tell us what you changed?
