You pretty much read my mind this round Viperin. I started playing GT4 again as a course refresher before completing Industry Pool Driver's Training at The Ring last fall. I've taken the Elan there after its first oil change & in each configuration during the series. Always a good time, as has been the entire series. 👍 Times submitted.

Time submitted.

I have gone over to the dark side, I think. Figured might as well move over to MT fulltime. Seeing I use it with FM3/4. Still keep forgetting :ouch: that I don't have to brake while I'm downshifting because you can't cause damage to the trans in GT4 like you can in Forza. I'll be slow but consistent between the two different games.

The first major stumbling block for the Elan, It's light weight is normally a blessing, but on a high speed/bumpy circuit I found it a little unstable as soon as the speedo nudged up over 175kp/h. So what are harmless/fun little slides at 100kp/h definitely get your attention when you've got a bit more speed going, still fun though and a pretty good race for 182 points.

Time submitted

G'Day all !

First up, thanks for the kind words re this series.
It has been fun to manage and drive in and I am glad everyone seems to have enjoyed it 👍

As this is the last round, I was wondering if a "Season 2 " would be acceptable for members of the Gentlemans Racing Club ?

Let me know what you think, and if agreeable, after a short break I could fire up again :)

I have completed my Race ( such as it was :scared: ) and would have to agree with shotamagee about the intensity of the action at high speed, whew !!

With about a day to go to deadline I have been preparing the Race and Championship ceremonies.

In keeping with the Gentlemans Racing Club ethos, there will of course be no Cash Prizes ( we are after all, amateurs ).
However Prizes suitable for Gentleman Racers will be presented.

Good luck all !!

Sooooo much fun, but so frustrating. Been having a great battle against a 180pt lineup featuring a Honda NSX , 3 flavours of R34 Skyline and a Lotus Carlton, but as ever with Nurb' I've aborted more attempts than I've finished due to either the AI or the myself making them unclean! :ouch:
So much so, that I suddenly noticed the points leap up to 183, and realised I'd gone through a complete batch of GT performance oil!
Sadly backing out to change it means a different lineup to race, so onwards until deadline time!!! :mischievous:

Gets my vote, you bet I'm in!!! 👍

Found an absolutely rockin' 181 point lineup in the end, and after a few "getting to know the AI" runs I managed to cleanly pass them all by Wehrseifen on lap 1, leaving me to roll off into the distance. It was a fairly kamikaze move to outbrake a Mitusbishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR '99 and a Mazda RX-7 Type R Bathurst R (FD) '01, and thus I'm currently, as I type, filming the replay for you all! *Edit* Bugger. Starting again. Got to 15 mins of recording and the camera battery ran out! :grumpy:
Beauty of a race, 100% OLR clean, did get awfully close to the back of a Mustang, but there was no touch and I got out of the throttle to go round him just in time! Love the Lotus, love the Nurburgring, a combination made in Green Heaven, as I said before!!!! :D

*Edit 2* Here you go:

Please excuse the strangely jaunty angle. It didn't appear that tilted during filming! :boggled:

Some extremely gentlemanly prizes for some extremely gentlemanly racers! 👍
See you all, resplendent in waxed mustaches and sock garters for season 2 soon!
Tally ho chaps!

Thanks again viperin for a fantastic series, beautifully organised, illustrated and executed. You deserve the biggest prize of all. 👍

You can shelf my ballet for the moment. I am not going to compete in season 2. But beware for a possible returning appearance in the unborn season 3.

Here I am with FM4 and I come back to a game from 2004. Must be the friends. I can fit these races in somehow. :)

And around my neighborhood we prefer this type of stocking. :sly:

And some really fun stuff at the Ring on a bike. Viperin and DJBaker know what I mean.

G'Day all (again !! )

Thanks for the kind words, I am glad it all went well. Thought you might be interested in my Race Report :)
Started off well against a very interesting field worth 187 points:

Skyline GTR V Spec II Nurb
Mitsubishi Lancer VII GSR
Jaguar S Type R
Pontiac Tempest Le Mans GTO
Audi RS4 Wagon

Got to first place leaving the Foxhole and held a slender lead all the way to Dottinger Hohe where most of field blew past me.
Had to work hard to get past again by end of sector 3 and managed to eke out another slight lead by DH.
Was somewhat disheartened to have Skyline blow past again but was happy to settle for second until I noted Lancer hoving up in my rear view mirror at Tiergarten.
I felt it was a bit rude of him to tip me off the track into the armco though :grumpy:
I ended up spearing across the track a couple of times, becoming airborne and smashing into the back of the Skyline ( I bet he was surprised ! ).
The collision allowed me to take the corner though and left the Lancer in my wake for a hard fought second.
No points but a Wizard Prang !!!

I will do some planning and get back with a new season and another idea I have soon.

Later Doods :):)
