G'Day all and welcome to Round Eight of :

Lotus Elan Gentlemans Racing Club

Round Eight Results​

Two upgrades this week and a Time Trial ( hope no one is claustrophobic ).

Round 8 Settings

GT Mode -> Home
Select Lotus Elan from Garage
Go to UK Hall -> Lotus -> Tuning Shop
Equip Car with Port & Polish, Engine Balancing
Total HP with Oil Change 142 HP

Return to GT Mode -> Main Page
Select ......City Courses
Select Citta di Aria, Normal
Enter - Free Run
Go to settings option ( Red Toolbox) -> Turn all Driving Aids Off
Check : Port & Polish, Engine Balancing, Sports Exhaust,Twin Clutch,Sports Flywheel, NA Stage 1 & N3 Tyres fitted.

For this round you may replace Close Ratio Gearbox with Standard Gearbox


Race Rules

Do as many laps as you wish.

As for the deadline, I have no problem with either date.

And of course it must be a 100% completely clean run. Not as big a deal as week #7. Many a corner here that will stop you dead in your tracks.

I actually find this track harder than Chamonix, many a good run can be completely killed in the last corner, oh well the Elan is narrow, that should help.

Thanks to the extended deadline, I made it home from a business trip to California in time to make it to Citta di' Aria for some fun. Happened to see an Elan on the road in Cali to remind me. Results submitted. Fun combo! 👍

Submitted my time yesterday. Never been much of a fan of Citta d'Aria, however, the little Lotus was a dream to thread through the narrow streets, and though I fell short of my target by a little under 2/10ths, I'm quite happy with what I finished with. 👍

It appears a few members may have indulged in too much Pudding, as they were unable to compete this round
Weight is a critical factor in achieving fast times

👍 I'll post up a replay later in the week, PS2 is currently paused with 45 of 90 laps of wrestling an unwieldy Plymouth Super Bird through 200 miles of Laguna Seca-ry fun, so I'll need to finish that first. Maybe tomorrow!
I became absolutely determined to crack the 1'44 barrier and sneak into the high 1'43s with my lap, but ultimately it wasn't to be, much to my frustration.
