G'Day all,

As a keen fan of all things Lotii, I thought it might be nice to set up a relaxed tournament for like minded individuals :)

The Racing will be mainly focused on the Lotus Elan, arguably the best handling Car in the game. Other models will make "guest" appearances and there will be a slightly different twist on the tournament as a whole 💡

General Rules & Information

If you do not posess a Lotus Elan you will need to win one.
First step is to enter the British Lightweight Championship in the European Hall (any Elise new or secondhand should do nicely).

Winning the Championship nets you a lovely Lotus Europa 👍

Use this to enter and win the "Lotus Classic Cup" located in the Lotus garage one make Races.

Your Prize will be the 1962 Lotus Elan S1. Even if you already have one, I urge you to go back and win another one, as it will remind you about what Lotus has to offer the driving enthusiast.

Most Racing will be done on N3 tyres, but buy a set of Snow & Dirt tyres as well for future use.
Oil change is acceptable also.

I will announce the location and details of the first Race in about 12 hours. Races will follow the usual 12 Midnight Sunday GMT deadline.

Results and details of next round will be posted as soon as possible after deadline.

For this tournament I will also be borrowing an idea from an old Racing buddy (Mr. Pinstripes) which will add a slight twist to the usual design i.e.

Prior to Round 2 and subsequent rounds, I will issue all contestants with an upgrade. These will mostly be upgrades that suit the era and technology of the time, so no carbon props or chips.

This will be a very simple and hopefully enjoyable romp and I am sure you will find the driving a whole lotta Fun !!!

More soon.

I'll have to get to work.

edit: After my above post I figured what the hell and jumped on the PS2 3 days early. Thanks for starting with the Lotus. When running the LeMans cars for the afore
mentioned series it looked like I was having an epileptic seizure  (my apologies to any epiletic) in how I controlled the car after playing FM3 so long. I was able to use MT also which I have been using with FM3.

I do not expect to place high on the leaderboards. ;) But I never run these for the glory. Just the fun. I suspect that I will do well farther into the series as more people drop out. Win through attrition, baby! 👍

Seeing that I won't be getting FM4 until at least Christmastime it's off to the TT at El Capitan.

And click on RacerPauls video in my signature. If this doesn't get your blood pumping for a game that was not given its' dues nothing will. Remember this is on only 2 wheels. No over/understeer here. Just wipeouts. Maybe Viperin and I can give the rookies some tips. Give it a try guys. Great Game.

Hello again to those of you that know me & greetings to those that don't.
I recently started playing GT4 again to get some laps in at the Nurburgring prior to completing Industry Pool Driver's Training through the Joe Weber School, which was simply Awesome. Post training, I put some more laps in to complete my course notes, then took a peek on here to see if there was still any GT4 activity. I was pleased to see that at least a few of you are still having at it. The Elan is a fun little car, so I figured I'd join you when time permits. Looking forward to some good racing. Good luck to everyone.
