The only thing anyone should be worried about on the first lap tomorrow is keeping it on the track

So yeah, to keep the emphasis on carefulness going I'll say again: take it easy on the first turn in the race every one. Don't try to even go two wide, there's plenty of opportuniy to pass on the straights, it's never a good idea to try and pass in the esses unless the person in front of you is totally dropped off in speed.

That first turn wil be especially iffy. Just keep this in mind: you wouldn't want to be nudged off track yourself so don't be the guy that does it to someone else.

Right so everyone go to sleep now it's getting late! B)

Haha:lol: I just got home about an hour ago from 12 or so hours out on the boat at the lake. I've had way too much to drink, way too much sun, and it was low 90's here in Ohio all day. (anyone from midwest know 90's is freaking hot with the humidity):yuck:

Trying to catch up on all the posts I missed today. I tried on my GTP app on the phone, but network reception at the lake is terrible. So, glad to see I'm starting 6th. Suzuka is a favorite track of mine, but I've never been terribly fast there. This is going to be a crazy race. That little practice race we had Friday with 5 cars was nuts. The draft not only pulls you down straights, but some of the faster turns you get tugged along too. Its going to be ridiculous with a full grid. I found my racing lines were getting messed up by the draft pulling me around.

Well, its off to bed for me. Got to get rested up for 35 laps of ragged edge racing.

A Top Gear Top Tip for race tomorrow - Keep all four wheels on track!!:)(noted to self, I hope):D

Haha, I'm surprised I did so well for the race. I am able to now bang out laps consistently in the low 2'04's, like 2'04.3-.5, many .0's, still have the 2'03.8 fast lap but now I'm starting to run sectors in that put me on pace for a 2'03.2!!! haha so I am in good shape for the race. In this long of a race also, the qualifying position is not nearly as critical, as everyone is sure to have at least 1 off during the race, pit stops, drafting etc. I think the person who doesn't put a wheel wrong all day will be the winner. Should be great fun tonight! I'll be sipping on a red bull the whole time, haha!

P.S. I'm going to share my car, in case someone wants to check it. Just got word of this car checking stuff. See you guys tonight, off to the pool after breakfast/sex etc.

Very true, another thing to keep in mind and look at before the race is how long a pit stop takes and where the pit lane starts. Only reason I mention this is cuz pitstops are VERY glitchy in this game. It appears they've tried to do some sort of penalty sytem for speeding into the pits, but its not exactly consistent. You're definitely right about not putting a tire wrong though.

Have fun with your girl, I'll check on your car.....all alone....by myself...

Wow!I can not believe i made it in considering lack of practice and tuning ability in the virtual world.Everything i have ever learned about tuning does not apply here.I will say somethings do apply.I think 206.xx with no mistakes can win.

Nooooo the draft can easily pull you into 2:04s from a 5, which means the lead pack will probably be running low 4s all race long.

I will...haha.

What exactly is the pit lane speed that you need enter stig? I did some testing but couldn't find anything conclusive..

That's thing, there really isn't a set speed  It's just that you want to avoid having your car get reset. There are alot of pitlanes in this game where if you hit it too fast, your car automatically resets at the opening to pit lane.

Did some tire testing last night.

I can go 12 laps easily, and have some room to play with in the case that I spin out.

I'll get the ps3 on now, and check some cars.

totally forgot to put my car online last night ... its up there now though

Still need to check the cars of the following people:

Car is now online for scrutineering. :)

As for the 'B' Lobby are we racing the same number of laps as the 'A' Lobby today and will anyone whi DNQ'd be promoted to the 'A' lobby in the event anyone fails to show up by a certain time?

My PSN doesn't have the accent. Just a regular, capital U

EDIT:

Cami,

If your name is in red, that means you didn't qualify. However! You can still race in the B-room tomorrow. The winner of the B-race will recieve an automatic entry into next weeks race, regardless of how they qualify. Because there's only 6 people, though, I'm going to make it half distance (18 laps).

I don't know right at the moment about promoting people in the case of anyone no-showing. I'll have to talk to ponyboy and Wardez about it.

Just so you guys know, Ponyboy will be in charge of the b-room, until he starts the race, then he'll leave and come to the main room.

OFFICIAL MAIN RACE ROOM:

1472-6118-3787-3249-6571

The b-room should be up in a few minutes.

Hey Sohn, quick question. Did you stick mostly with that RKM tune? I tried it and found myself softening the dampers and fiddling with the camber.
