Hello everybody,
It's been a long time since my last post in this forum, but in fact I was still playing GT2 with my old PlayStation. Recently my PSX experienced problems making loading times longer, therefore I installed an emulator on my computer so I could still play this great game.
I was forced to start a new game, and I've done 63% of the game.
I noticed that diaries have become common in this forum, and I like them because it's a new way to see Gran Turismo. So I thought I could write my own diary about drifting (as it's my favorite driving style). Here's chapter one.
Enjoy reading !!!
I woke up early this morning. It was about 7 am. After eating my breakfast, I wanted to check my garage, because there was a very important race. I mean, it's important for money, because I have many projects.
I opened the main door, and entered the place where I keep my cars. They were all lined up. On the left, there were my race cars : a rare Escudo from the Pikes Peak Hillclimb, a GT40 Race car, and other racing cars. I had to choose between my race cars the ultimate weapon that could beat easily my opponents, without exceeding 590hp. I was walking between the cars, when I saw the perfect car for that race : my Silvia. It's a Daishin Silvia, with a modified SR20DET producing 410+ hp, and amazing torque (for a 2.0l engine) available from 3000 rpm. I took the key, entered the car, and started it.
Idle is a bit rough when the engine is cold, but when it's warmed up, it is smoother.
I decided to enter the race with that car. The trip to the track began.
A few hours later, the car was on the starting grid. 3 laps. 5 opponents.
The race started. The rear wheels were spinning because of the engine's power. But acceleration in the following gears left the other contenders behind. The tires allow great cornering speed, and on the straight line, the engine loved revving over 7000 rpm. I clocked lap times below 1 minute 7 seconds, and I finally won the race. I had fun with that car, and the prize car is a race-prepared Skyline GT-R that I sold for 250 000 credits.

I had money to buy my next drifting car : an old Supra tuned to 300+ hp. I tested the car on the test track. It was quite good for drifting, with a torquey engine, capable of great wheel spinning.
The day ended with this Supra, my 38th car.

Look forward to chapter 2 for drifting action !
