LSD setting for Nascar at Daytona in the grass

I need a little help please. I run dirty NASCAR races at Daytona with a Logitech G27 and no driving aids. Everything is fine until I end up spun and in the grass. This is where having a DS3 has it's advantages as I usually get left far behind.

Do you have any suggestions for LSD settings that will get the car maximum traction when in the grass? I run a 3 speed which helps a little but it would be nice to get going as quickly as possible without getting sideways. I know I can feather the throttle but I'm hoping the diff can do some of the work for me.

If you can't give me specific settings can you at least give me an idea of where to start please? I don't think a locked diff is the answer as the grass is bumpy in places which throws the car sideways.

P.S. This thread isn't for opinions on dirty racing. Start your own thread if you feel like flaming someone.

I don't care what LSD you have, 892HP won't magically gain traction in the grass.

Your best bet, is to get a setup that doesn't allow you to be put in the grass by the other drivers. Max downforce, max ballast and a very tight setup.

I have a dirty Nascar tune posted in my garage. Once you are in the grass, there is nothing you can do, wheel or DS3. The key to dirty Nascar is to ride the inside line all the way around. Check that, it's to ride the edge of the grass all the way around. Don't let anyone on your inside, ever. And if you see someone dive across the grass in the tri-oval or in turns 1 or 3, just check up a little and let them slide right up in front of you and slam the wall on their own. When they cut across the grass, they have zero control over direction or speed. It's a banzai move at best.

Your tune needs to be fast, stable and able to hug the inside line. My tune, for me, lets me cross on and off the apron in the corners at will.

Dirty Nascar is like a sick addiction. You mentioning it here makes me want to take another drink.

Try upping the final gear to 3.55 or 3.73, I've noticed my driving style and the game like more realistic ring/ pinion values

Thanks everyone. I should have mentioned I've been dirty racing for almost a year. My car is very fast just like most of those I race with. Most of us run with zero downforce, hit 222mph on the straights and exit the turns at 207 or 208. I'm pretty good at sensing when wrecks will happen but sometimes a wrecked car behind me magically ignores normal physics and speeds up and wipes me out.

My setup is fairly similar to yours MCH but my shocks and roll bar are much lighter. I'll give your LSD settings a try. Currently I'm running 10-30-10 just as an uneducated trial. Your right about the yellow line being your friend. Your also right about dirty racing being like an addiction. Most of my friends would also agree.
