M$ Visual Studio Service Pack 5...

hey im trying to install service pack 5 for my copy of visual studio, but the installer for it says it found a copy, then it says that setup was not completed sucsessfully, and then exits, im running winndows xp pro and the SP5 requirements only said i needed ie5.01+ (which i have, 6.0 that is) and some other stuff( which i have) i didnt use any of those "download accelleraters", so i dont think its corrupt, so can anyone help me?



(and yes i do know that my spellings sucks)

-sometimes the accelerators help it out
-do you have a legit copy? micro**** blacklists serial numbers
-Why do you need it if everything works?
-Visual Studio 6 had THE WORST installation i have EVER seen. It generally took 2-3 installs before I could get everything to work. Uninstallation has always been even worse than that

- i know but sometimes they dont really help n 56k other than pause and resume

- its a valid serial and cd (its really nice to be friends with a kid whoses dad get a bunch of sh!@t from M$ that he nevers uses)

i need for some code im compileing and it says that i need service pack 5 for it

-it took me like 1 try and 30 minutes to install it, dont know about the uninstall though

i'm not sure how microshaft does their service packs...are they dependant on eachother? Like, do you need sp1 to install sp2, etc?
