Mad Catz MC2 Wheel.

You're crazy if you think
I can afford either of these.
Mine is currently broken, and I wanna know, should I spend any time in rewiring a new cord to it? Is it worth it?

Or should I just buy a DFP?

I figured that'd be the normal answer aroud here.

From what I read, the DFP is just about as good as a DFGT, right?

Basically, I don't want to keep having to buy wheels, I want one that will work with GT4 on my PS2 but I can then turn around and use in GT5 on my future PS3. Is the DFP the only wheel that can do that?

I currently have a DFP, and from what reviewers have been saying the main difference between the DFP and the DFGT is that the DFGT uses optical sensing where as the DFP does not. This makes the DFGT slightly more acurate, and the "dead zone" that you get on the DFP AND G25 are pretty much non-existant on the DFGT.

The DFP works a dream on GT5: Prologue, it is also an officially supported wheel of GT5: Prologue (unlike the G25, which works flawlessly, but is not "officially" supported).

The DFP is not the only wheel that you can use on a PS2 and a PS3, im pretty sure most (if not all) PS2 wheels that use USB will work on PS3, however I would personally buy a DFP, DFGT or G25 depending on how much I have to spend.

They are quality wheels, and will not fail you. Even if they do fail, they all come with a 2 year warranty as standard.

Well, by amazon the DFP is 100 dollars, so I'm seriously thinking I could do that, put my car fund on a 1 week hold.

But, I'd like to try the wheel out first, do you know anywhere I could do that?

Nope, sorry mate, I live in the UK, not the US. Even in the UK I dont know anywhere that lets you test out the wheels before buying.

Most places just tell you if your not happy you can return it in xxx days, and if you buy online then the distance selling regulations (for UK) mean the seller has to give you at least 1 week from the day its delivered to return it.

I can guarantee you wont regret it mate $100 is cheap for that wheel. Well at least for me....that works out to be about £50; I paid £85 for mine back in 2006 and at the time RRP was £100 (approx $200).

I used to have the MC2 until the pedals stopped working. I bought a DFP and haven't looked back since. I've retried the MC2 recently, can't believe how bad it is compared to a DFP!

I've got a DFGT and it is amazing how much better it is to the MC2. I would never go back considering my DFGT only cost about $130AUD over here.
