Hey... my girlfriend let me borrow her steering wheel which she just uses to play around with...its the madcatz mc2...i was wondering if the wheel is just a peice of crap, or if all wheels are so hard to get used to...i mean just driving along a track proves to be extremely difficult...let alone being competitive enough to win races....So, is it that i just need to practice with it, or is it just a cheap wheel? thank you...

If you only driven it with a gamepad before i think your just not used to it yet. I don't know the madcatz so I can't tell ya if it is crap but if you will get used to it driving gt4 with a wheel you will be faster then with a pad believe me. just keep practicing.👍

i bought it and i have to say it would be a great wheel if you could calibrate the gas and brake sensitivity wich you cant and that pissed me off

haha i know what you mean...i tried to drift with it, and it was soo hard because the gas is soo harsh...you gotta get good with your foot...

I think it's just getting used to a wheel... I have an MC2 and it is pretty easy for me to use, in fact I like it a lot... more than any other non FF wheel I have come across.

It takes a lot of time to get used to because you don't have the instant lock to lock ability you do with a controller and you have to combine using your feet into the whole equation. Give it 4 or 5 hours and I bet you will be flying around the track better than you ever imagined.

As for the sensitive gas, I have no problems with it oddly... I just sort of equate it to when I was learning how to drive a stick after an automatic. It just seemed the pedal was either all off or all on. After a few hours I learned how to control the pedal when clutched and it feels very natural now.
