Hello...
For those with more expierence in tune issues can possibly show me how a mazda 360 can run more than 100 kph? Is it possible?
I do love this little japonese hatches. I would like too see something that help me out tuning it. Seems a little stupid, thought. But I appriciate some help here.
Cheers...

C´mon boys, help me out with this one. It´s relatively easy to tune up a medium to high power car, but a 15 hp is sort of a challenge. I tried and tried, never could pass the 100kph mark... Please...

There is a significant lack of willingness to tune (not willingness, maybe desire?) lower powered cars on this forum. Not bashing... just stating.

I'm with you... I think these tiny low powered cars are fantastic to mess around with, but for whatever reason, most of the tuners stay away from them.

I have a real desire to get into tuning, and these cars would be my main effort since everyone and their uncle is basically just tuning and re-tuning the same 50 cars. But... time is an issue for me, and that will surely slow me down.

But you should know that there are many others out there looking for tunes on often forgotten about standard cars that are actually, surprisingly very good.

There are 2 active threads about how to maximize your engine's powerband by using transmission gearing. Read them and then find out for yourself if it's possible.

Or check out Adrenaline's thread with links to every tune by a garage (and then some) on this forum. Find a tune for a low-HP car/truck (like the Daihatsu Midget, or one of the Kei cars), especially one that shows gear ratios. I just did, and found one that might work for you. Took me about 2 minutes.

I actually just noticed this thread by Adrenaline. It's good stuff and has many of the tunes that I had THOUGHT that I'd seen on here, but for whatever reason could never get to come up in the search?

Anyways... good work lads.

well
Thank you boys, gonna do the following: gonna try tune it myself and than I put the results here. I looked first of start the thread all over this sub forum, and the closet I could find was the Fiat 500 f '68.
Well Thank you...
Cheers...

The Fiat 500 is one of the tunes I thought you coyld apply. You might also take a look at the gear ratios from the Midget truck tune, especially at the final gear. From the looks of those gear settings, I think they were going for Max Speed like you.

But it is not only that. Giving a preview of my first attempt:
Engine stg3
Weight Reduction stg1 ( windows out )
turbo stg2
sports manifold; titanium pipes
ss tyres
customized suspensiom and transmission

170 kph on the end of the first straight of highspeed ring. I did adjusting the ratios of the transmission ( more or less like de midget ). Doesn´t worth to adjust from the to max speed only. But the suspension is a problem. I am fine tuning it cuz this car is happy tailing stuff. Gonna try some ballast foward and gonna negative more the camber. Ajust on the shocker doesn´t affect all the overall stability.
Cheers!

I would leave the ballast alone until I've exhausted all other means of tuning for handling. Try softening the rear/hardening the front, for example...

I have to say that I did a huge mistake about the cars name. Is not Mazda but SUBARU 360. Just sorry for that.
and I want to thank Theo777 for the nice information. Based on his information, I am working also in three cars, the Honda S500, the Toyota S800 and and the Carol, which dont need work at all actually, thanks, again, Theo777.
Cheers.... and sorry again.
