Anyone play this? i used to, but since i moved to australia i kinda stopped, so i have a s*** load of cards hanging around.... i am willing to sell them, but i dont know who to sell them to.... anyway, discuss here your cards/decks/ideas and stuff

i'm not exactly keen on selling them, i'm just curious if anyone on this site knows about it, or better yet, plays it. apparently i was wrong...

This game pwned my younger life. I was a sickey for it. I quite playing in middle school, sold my cards and made a boat load of money. I would start up again but it would automatically make me more of a geek then I already am.

i just made this and thought you may be interested to see it. hope you like it.
i'm a fan of Magic, although i don't spend that much money on it, but i like to play it.
there was no other topic, and i didn't know where to post this, so i opened a new one.
anyway, if you play magic, feel free to discuse about it here.

I still play it while waiting around in between classes at school, I'm not great at it but it is enjoyable enough to play. I have a couple decks but nothing major. I used to be really big into it when I was younger but I've sold most of my cards.

i have yu-gi-oh cards, and my deck has not been touched for over 2 years haha

but im sure trading cards are suppose to have a unisex format not just referring to all players as a male

i don't have some strong decks either. me and my brother (24) got most of our cards from his friend. he sold the better ones, but the rest he couldn't sell, he gave to us.
i also play at school during p.e. and sometimes with my brother. i'm not into it all the time. there are periods of time when i become so interested in it and it stops after some time, than gets back again...
i'll never sell my cards, nor trade them for some others. i don't why, i guess i just like the ones i have, i'm not willing to give them away.
also, i have pokemon cards (lol) and i'll never sell them (actually, i sold them to my mother who was afraid i'm going to give them away or sell them) because they were part of my (early) childhood and it'll always be interesting to see them.

I have fairly strong decks, mainly Centaurs. What I lack is skill... My school's badminton coach is a huge player of the game, and somewhat of a local god of the game.

For the cards: Why water for Kazunori Yamauchi? (Edit: Right.)

Lol. It would be cool if one of my teachers played the game. All-aged people are playing it, that's what I like about it to. Just like the GT :D (or WoW, but nevermind).
I decided to buy one booster pack per month, that's enough. It makes mi happy.
What I don't like is this Shadowmoor block, where you can find these hybrid cards. I mean, they are just too powerful. In past, cards were much weeker. It looks like they are just making things up and making better cards just to earn more money (ok, i know that' true, but it's very annoying).

"trading cards are suppose to have a unisex format not just referring to all players as a male"
ok yeah, that's true. but the he is for the opponent, as a person. or it's just maybe i mixed it with my language. yeah, probably. but yeah, you're right.

Well i don't think there is another thread like this, so here goes.

Is there anyone on GT Planet play Magic the Gathering? I want to know that it's not just me that plays the game on these forums.  if you do, lets talk.

Good to see someone else liking the franchise!

I do play it every so often, when I get the time, at the moment, I'm mostly a Standard player, who dips into Commander occasionally, Currently running Werewolves (But not pure Werewolves) and I'd like to fit some of the new cards in the deck, like the two Wolfir cards, even as singletons.

And seeing as you might be up to date and all, favourite card of the new set for you? Mine has got to be Sigarda the G/W Angel, which I'd love to start a proper EDH deck around.

Ya im the same way. Right now i'm a standard player, however i'm a huge commander person. My Current Commander deck is a "5 colour Mimeoplasm combo kill on turn 6 if i'm lucky deck" i've incorporated some other macanics like a triskenlion combo kill and a really strong combo by reanimating The Mimeoplasm.

I'm currently playing standard and my weapon of choice is a Black green red combo Pod. i'm not going to reveal the combo however it's still rediculess.

Apart from the 2 I've just merged this into?

Wow 2 in one day. :grumpy: Well that's my fault for not looking hard enough. sorry i'll seach the forums next time.

*Edit* Wait the one you merged us into is 4 years old. can I just ask why you revived it?

No, one of them was from 2005 and the other from 2008, and then yours from yesterday.

The fact that the threads have been here that long and we've only just reached post 16 indicates it's not that popular here.

The First time i started playing was in the mid 90's,I think that was when 1st edition was out.

Last time I played it was on the 360.I do remember wasting many hours building counter/flame decks that made people mad .Oh and that elf deck I had was pretty nasty too.

I stopped playing not long after Legions was introduced, so back in 2004 I think?

Game has kind of gone down hill and community has equally so. Plus Wizards just keeps remaking cards that are simply stronger than previous versions for the same casting cost. In fact, a big turning point for me even wanting to play was when I saw a 4GG 6/4 creature with trample - Craw Wurm but with trample now basically.

I have 1000s of cards sitting in my basement collecting...er....value. maybe...?

Not sure. I starting playing when Revised came out and stopped actively collecting during Planar Chaos. I grabbed a few packs here and there when the planeswalkers came out, but most of what I have is from 1994-2001.
