Can people please remind me why GT6 will be good enough to be a day 1 purchase..

I am up and down here, there are many pros and many cons it seems..

I guess it's only something that you can decide. But Pre-Order rather than Day One will make better sense, because more cars (not cars that just everyone can get once they buy the game) and maybe a good price.

I think as well there's more than enough new cars and tracks as has already been confirmed to justify getting the standard edition that had they been DLC for GT5 would've cost a lot more than GT6 will cost.

I hadn't thought about that - yes DLC would have more than made up the difference.

Yes:
- It is GT
- R18
- Endurances
- Maybe a cool environment to online series
- New tracks that I like
- Bonus cars
- DLCs could make the game better
- The Senna thing could make the game more interesting to us, brazilians.

No:
- PD is lagging behind competition
- No good sounds
- No livery editor
- Lack of racing cars
- Doubts about AI
- No event editor (if the game got that, I would buy It in a heart beat)

I have not decided yet...

I forgot to add as well, this is just Day One stuff - what about day 62? If PD keep their promise you'll be seeing better features added and monthly DLC, so basically the game "should" get better month to month.

I bought GT5 when it came out three years ago and I'm still playing it.
If a game can entertain me for that long, I don't feel bad paying full prince for a sequel/big update. And full price for me is 35 pounds, because I preordered at the right time on Amazon :)

A big "con" for me is that I'll get my PS4 + 3 games only a weak earlier and probably try to get a Vita on Cyber Monday too. Way to much stuff to play :D

I bought GT5 in 2011 and played it non-stop for over a year, but I wish I had bought it at day-one because of all the extras in the Special Edition. I know for a fact that GT6 will be a game that I will play for at least another year because it has lots more than what GT5 ever had, plus I already have all the hardware already. I don't need to buy a proper gaming PC/next-gen console and all the other hardware that that will entail because I already have a PS3 and a DFGT so I need nothing else.

This
as flawed as GT is, there is something to it that makes me want to keep playing and playing it and no other racing game has that for me.

No new RUF cars or even premium ones :(

But yes, how can we come up with the best additional ideas for a game and PD don't seem to ?

Event editor would be great and nothing new to any race game either

I could list dozens of reasons but I'll write a single one:

It will be the racing simulator with most content in the next 2 years. Period.

Just try to find any other racing game with the amount of tracks, cars, features, etc. Unless you like PC racing sims (which I find boring lately, completely bad career modes, etc).

My Main reason for buying GT6 on day 1?

So I can play GT6 on day 1 of course ;)

The bonus cars for pre-ordering doesn't hurt either but it would not matter if they were not included I would still have pre-ordered for day 1 just to make sure I get a copy ASAP
