I had a friend in high school who had one of those with a 403 cubic inch engine.

I never saw it driven in "anger".
I always bailed when the "races" started.
Didn't want to be a witness or an arrestee. 'Specially since my mother was a jail nurse at the time. And at 70, she's still the toughest woman I know.
My mama sleeps with a gun under her pillow. If you break in expect to be shot in the foot, made to walk out, and expect to be shot again if you bleed on the carpet.
So you know that I didn't want her to come in to work and find me there as a "guest".
