If all the other GT's had oil changes and car washes, why not add some more maintence jobs.

Clutch Wear (depends on how you drive the car)
Break Jobs (depends on how hard you break)
Turbo Maitence (dyno tune, check for boost leaks and so on)
Changing Other Fluids

Any more ideas?

At best, this could add some limited depth.
At worst, it's a handfull more half-developed annoyances to throw money at.

I doubt any of these issues would present themselves within a race, so they would really only be sapping your cash and adding a bunch of menu clicks to the operation of your more well-used cars, rather then adding any sort of management aspect.

You mean Brake jobs. Break jobs . "Sir may I destory your car for you". Sorry I had too.

, I think the way forwards is to include mechaniocal damage and wear and tear. But make it a race to race thing. After each race you pat a certain ammount to fix your car, I don't think it should be an extra feature in the GT auto shop though. I personally don't think the oil change or wash should be there though, they should be done in your garage.

If a car wash is considered maintinence, it would be nice for the cars to get dirty inorder to wash them.

example 1: you slide off the track in your race car and get dirt in the body and grass in the grill. Make the car look like it was just raced.

example 2: you just finished a rally and the car is dirty and muddy. The cars wont be clean until you wash them.
This sounds like a good idea to me 👍

indeed, i totally agree. Although it was a limitation on the ps2, the ps3 should bring a whole new level of visual effects.

They should also include small damage on the cars after a race (such as holes in the grill, scratches in the bodywork, cracks in the bumpers, etc) that you have to fix in the garage or 'gt-auto'.

I would like to see your car leak out smoke to tell you what s wrong with it

blue smoke if you wore down the rings or valves,

white smoke if you cracked the block or blew a head gasket etc. you should be able to take it to a mechanic and have him diagnose the car to find the problem. a charge of course.

you will do this to your engine quickly if you overrev it constantly etc. Normal hard driving will take a while for this to happen, 1-2,000 miles

So you would have to have an engine overhaul. You should be able to choose rings, pistons, rods or even an aluminum block if you got the credits

Same thing with transmission etc

Not really, they already did a half-ass job on the oilchange it'd just be worse to add those things that have barely any depth to them.
