For the past month or so, I have had major difficulty viewing videos on my iPhone 4S. Whenever I try viewing a video on McTube (A significantly better version of the YouTube app) I constantly have terrible lag and the video would stutter. I have to restart the video at least five times before it starts working, only to have the same issue occur later in the video. I then tried viewing videos on the mobile YouTube site and i had the same issue. I originally thought the problem was Youtube's player being broken, but I still have the issue when viewing Facebook videos. I think it's time that Apple rolled out a new update for video support because this issue seems to be widespread across multiple applications. All of those apps I mentioned have been updated, but nothing has improved. I sincerely hope that I'm not the only one having to deal with this issue!

No problems viewing youtube videos here, I'm still on iOS 6 though with a 4s. My old iPhone 4 with iOS 7 was only laggy while typing sometimes... Though it's dead now after it went through a wash cycle.

This might seem silly, but is the performance the same through all four rotations? I know very little about recent iTosh but I do remember a specific problem with some Autodesk software that would only work in one-of-the-four rotations due to some conversion issue with Apple's screen driver while "normal" applications were fine.

What do you mean by "rotations"? Do you mean the way the screen is oriented (Portrait, landscape left, landscape right)?

@CallmeDan that's what I mean, I didn't say it very well :D I have no idea if that will help, just reading your post brought the AutoDesk app bug to mind. I can't even remember which product it was, it's mostly my Irish colleagues who use iStuff, worldwide we normally use PCs.

EDIT: Possibly you are not alone. Seems YouTube specific from a cursory read through that link...

Well, that's reassuring. Thanks.
