Nissan Skyline GTR R32-This car was simply a beast. In fact, special rules were made to ban this car from racing it was that good. It effectively gave the Skyline the name of godzilla.
Nissan Skyline GTR R34-This car was an automotive genius back during it's rain of terror and glory. Unfortunatly, people who liked The Fast and the Furious too much got ahold of this car, and either riced it out, or imported it illegally, banning it from being imported into the US for most likely, all of its life.
Nissan Skyline GTR R35 (2012)-This is a car thats not really a car. It's really a Playstation on wheels. The shear engineering behind this car is truly amazing, and on par to the Bugatti Veyron, though both were designed to do something completely different. All the GTR needs is two turbo's and 530 horsepower to carry it up to 196mph, and an incredibly fast time of 7:24 in the wet on the Nurburgring. That's faster than a Ferrari. In fact, in every way its better. It has Air Conditioning, a kicking Bose Radio, four seats and a price tag of $90k. Not cheap, but it's better than paying the big bucks for a Ferrari. It reached times not possible, in fact it's heavier, and has less power than a Lamborghini Gallardo LP540-4, yet it's faster, which shouldn't work on paper, but it does!
Ferrari F40-The main competition for the Porsche 959. THis was also the first car to brake the 200mph record, and was the turning point in supercar history. Though sadly, it really wasn't the template for modern day supercars. Instead they went for the Porsche 959, which was a Sega on wheels.
Porsche 959-The template for modern day supercars like the Bugatti Veyron, Lexus LFA, and Nissan GTR. These are all computer controlled monsters of the road, and that's why I think it should get a mention in Autovista.
Ferrari 250 GTO-Going by what Autovista is supposed to do, interacting with cars that most wouldn't be able to do, I think this deserves a mention. It might not be a historic winning race car, mostly because the road-racing days were over by the time Ferrari made the GTO, and it certainly wasn't technology with four wheels and an engine, mostly because the entire car was made by the hands of small children in Argentina, that's why each panel isn't the same as the one on the next car. It's just the fact that, Bill Gates can't touch one, and the BBC wasn't able to scrounge out the money to insure the car when host Jeremy Clarkson was going to drive it for the 599 GTO review. It's simply, untouchable.
Ford Mustang (1964)-I really don't like this car, but I feel it should be an Autovista piece because it was a car that launched an era. In fact, the US marines aired an ad campaign that said: "The Beach Boys, Apple Pie, and the '67 Mustang, three things worth fighting for." And I think its something worth fighting for Autovist Status.
BMW M3 E30 Sport Evolution-This car was the flagship of the 3-series, one of the most reliable, and affordable series of it's cars at the time. It was sporty, comfortable, and very special. One car many people hold dear to it's hearts. You can't find too many things that throw back to the original 3-series in BMW's lineup, in fact the only things the E92 and the E30 share are the Kidney Grills and badges, but you can find bits in pieces of it on many current cars today, and some people hold it as the car that really launched BMW. All I know is, they wouldn't be where they are now without it.
