Making An FF launch as good as possible

Hey guys? Just wondering if anyone had some tricks they could share regarding front wheel drive cars launching well? I like going into online drag races (which I haven't been able to do for a while -_- ) and race hot hatches and what not... And I've noticed that the launch is the biggest difference maker.. I've tried starting in 2nd gear with a high gear and that seems to work really well, although it just feels totally wrong spinning my tires until I hit 60mph :P
So ya, if anyone has some advice it would be much appreciated :)

try setting your gears to either skip the first or have the first two or three long and the others short to decrease wheelspin but keep accel, its what i usually do but everyone has their own style ,right.

Ya man, I've done that and so far it seems to be the most successful method of launch, I have 1st (which isn't used) really tall, 2nd I have pretty tall, then the gears get shorter from there

By reducing the final drive you can force all gears to get longer... Top speed setting spaces each gear further from the last as you go up and keeps the same per-gear speed as you change final drive.

What's this mean? You can set final drive to maximum, top speed to minimum, and then set the final drive so 1st gear is pretty much as long as you want it to be while keeping very tight ratio spreads.

I've found the "fast" way of launching a FWD to be to set 1st so that it spins the tires but never hits the rev limiter.

Kk man, I'll try it out right now, tell ya how it goes
