It's OK if you didn't make the top 10... Even some of the best photographers sometimes miss the top 10 here.

Art is all about opinion, maybe you think your shot is the best but the top 10 chooser didn't have the same opinion as you, that's all.

GT_Masta summed it up, but I'm going to echo the sentiment; art is subjective. Sejtur's criteria for picking the Top 10 are probably different from your's. Don't get discouraged; and also don't think you're doing something wrong. The most important thing about photography (and that extends to GT's version of it) is that you take pictures that satisfy you.

As for the anonymous aspect; there's pros and cons of both ways. In the rally comp, since nobody knows whose shot they're looking at, it stops any favouritism. However, in these comps, a lot of people want feedback on their pictures, and while that still is possible in the Rally Comp, it's a lot easier to talk to someone directly, since an actual discussion can take place. Plus, some people are proud about their work and want people to know who did it.

Another thing about these comps is that since editing is allowed every week (instead of once in a while like the Rally Comp), some peoples' entries would be fairly easy to pick out anyways, because some people have their own, unique style

Woops, nearly forgot to stay on topic about the actual poll; I'm stuck between Freddy's and Evo's. Two very fine shots, imo 👍

But the difference between this 'blur pic' and the rest is that, when I edited it, I was going for the most realistic shot possible. And to do that, I added a slight radial blur, which is very restrained when put next to my Advanced comp entry, which had loads of blur just for fun.
There is a difference between crazy blur shots like my advanced entry and tasteful blur shots, like this. This is just my opinion, BTW.

I was going to say the same thing, actually. Yes, blur filters have been present in the past couple winning shots from this and the APMC, but holy crap does Evo's (and Franz' M5 in the APMC) look realistic. To me it was added to enhance the realism, not a mindless afterthought.

I'm still stuck between both of your shots though, Freddy and Evo .

I'm not mad at the people that use the radial blur! I really like your shot evo! It's awesome! But I think it's a pitty that always those are the shots that win!


-EDIT: I voted for the red golf as well! It's just really nice! This is maybe a little paradox that I vote for that shot although I said those things about the radial blur...

I'd just like to say thanks to arsenal, Brock5000, fd2diablo908, Foamy, franz, Greycap, jmx2222, King Crockery, pgporto, suzq044, treefingers, TURBO (@).... for voting for my shot! This really gave me a push to work harder on my next entries! Can't wait for this weeks polls and next competitions!
