Mapping network drive with XP

I got my laptop yesterday and it's connecting to the internet through a cable router with a four port switch. I already had two computers, a 98SE and a Red Hat, connected to the internet through the router, but those two are also networked together through the router. I can access the Linux box from the 98 box and it is called drive F:\. So when i log onto the 98 machine I log on to the network and it says "restoring network connection to F:\" But I didn't set that up.

Now I want to access the 98 machine and the Linux machine (drives C:\ and F:\, respectively) from the XP laptop. Anybody know how to do this?

Well I spent a good chunck of my weekend working on this. I can get the 98 box to see and access files on the XP laptop, but the XP laptop doesn't see the 98 box. Absulutely infuriating. I give up. There's got to be some way to do it but I'm tired of surfing looking for the answer. I'm just going to get rid of 98 and install XP. It'll take me a week to back everything up so I hope to get to it this weekend.
