Italian coachbuilder and classic car restorer F&M (Faralli & Mazzanti) is to launch its Antas V8 GT coupe at the Top Marques show in Monaco next month.

The hand-built GT is styled to recall the classic Maseratis and other Italian exotica of the 50s and 60s, and is fitted with a 310bhp Maserati-sourced V8. Antas, apparently, means 'eagle' in the ancient Etruscan language.

Whoa, that looks...odd. I see a lot of Zonda/Noble M12/Ferrari 275 going on at the front, and I'm not sure I like it all happening at once. :ill:

It's like they're doing a live action Wacky Races movie...

I'm also assuming there's a typo there, because Maser doesn't offer a 310hp V8 and it seems unlikely to have the current one detuned that much. So perhaps it's 410hp. Still not quick enough to run away from its own ugliness.

Nope, it's a 310bhp Maserati 09 degree V8.

personally, I think it looks great from almost every angle but the front.

Usually I hate you idiots for saying that every single car posted in the Auto News forum is ugly, but this time ... this is the single ugliest vehicle I've ever seen, barring the B9 Tribeca. Was this vehicle styled over the phone?

Hopefully no American ever buys it.

Old news. But I'm surprised they actually went ahead with production without changing anything... The upper body is suitably exotic, but the lower panels look like any seasoned metalsmith or fiberglass molder worth his salt could've designed it in their back yard. Very kit-car-ish for a car with such grand aspirations.
