It'll probably offer the turbo V8 from the Quattroporte at launch. If not at launch, probably not long after.

It'll probably release concurrently with the 918 powered Cayenne, the Hellcat powered Grand Cherokee, the GT-R powered FX and the V12 powered GLE.

Okay, the Grand Cherokee with the Hellcat engine is actually happening. And there's no V12 GLE, but there is a G-Wagen with a V12.

...According to the article, it's equipped with a bi-turbo 3.0 V6. No mention of V8, but there's a diesel V6 on offer instead.

If there's going to be a 8 cylinder model, it's more likely to pack a version of Grand Cherokee's, since I'm fairly certain this car shares a platform with that.

Actually, it's apparently based on the Quattroporte/Ghibli platform, not the Grand Cherokee platform. If they're gonna offer a V8, it'll probably be the 3.8 from the Quattroporte.
