Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.5-16 Evolution II 1991

Even the stock settings for the 190 E is good, but it does have issues, especially regarding gears and power oversteer. These settings help to eliminate them. The basic car has 12.8 lbs / HP. Not the lightest and its effect shows up in acceleration. You might want to adjust the Final Gear for individual tracks because, otherwise, you may be using a 4-speed transmission.

On the stock tires, with its weight, drivers will want to use the basic out-in-out technique of taking curves, to keep up momentum and for control. Beware of less skilled drivers taking the wide entrance as an invitation to dive-bomb your car.

Toyota 86 GRMN, 2016

What a wonderfully handling car! Lots of grip, very dependable.

With its low Horse Power, you might want to adjust the gear range for shorter tracks. The torque curve is notched and both curves fall off sharply, so shift gears wisely. While I didn't adjust the brake balance, the front tires do wear more quickly than the rears. The stock car comes with a rear, adjustable wing.

Subaru BRZ GT300 RS 2021

This is an interesting GT.3 car. Not necessarily the quickest, but, with a bit of tuning, the rough edges can be toned down. It doesn't seem to take curbs well and you still have to take care getting back on the accelerator in exits. A bit of rear downforce was added, but the car comes with the front loaded to the max. It also uses gasoline quickly.

VW Scirocco Gr.4

Since this is an FWD car, it gives very consistent times within tenths or even thousandths of a second. The aria offers good control of this car, even if you stomp on the pedals. You still have to drive it, though.

Chevrolet C3 Corvette Convertible 1969

There are two C3s in GT7; this is the convertible version and its specs are different than the hardtop's.

This is a difficult car to tune and drive. Its weight and weightshift need to be accounted for while driving. This aria was tested on a number of widely different tracks, so it should be a good general, basic tune. The car takes some turns better by loading the front wheels with a bit of weighshift by trail braking when necessary. There is lots of toque and it is all below the midpoint of the rev range, so be careful when getting back on the throttle. Be gentle on both the throttle and brake pedals, so you may have to brake a bit early.

As tuned here, it handles hairpins surprisingly well, so be careful that you don't dive bomb leading cars. The car now seems to be fairly consistent and reliable, although outside tire wear can be a problem on some tracks.

TVR Tuscan Speed 6 2000

Consider this an unfinished aria. It does improve the handling of the car, but it should be able to be improved even further.

There is a bit of understeer which can be managed with a bit of front loading with trail braking. There is plenty of torque to also give you throttle oversteer. While it is a well mannered car, it will punish your times if you stomp on the gas or brakes. Brake early, ease into the gas. The Tuscan will probably give you slightly better performance matching the Final Gear per track.

Toyota Corolla GR MORIZO Edition

This is one fun car! There is enough power to drift it, with some benefit to drifting on some curves, at the cost of the tires. Keep it constrained, though, because it is easy to go too far. If you want the front outside tire to survive, don't let it slide.

You can adjust the vectoring split a bit, but I would recommend only one click up or down, depending on the track. The front bias can sure make a difference in some curves.

Pontiac GTO "The Judge" 1969

The Pontiac GTO is one of the best handling classic muscle cars in GT from its era, once tuned.

The Comfort Soft tires are the first grade of tires to give really consistent lap times, within a fraction of a second. You still have to control your right foot on standing starts, because of the torque, but this aria tries to tame the torque without too much loss. The high front toe lowers the front tire wear by about half. You can see this on Big Willow because there is very little front tire smoke, and it helps with the odd wobble on the Daytona banks. A little trail braking can add stability and control entering curved corners, such as at Grand Valley South.

Peak torque is at 5,000 RPM, peak power is <6,0000 RPM. On the rev bar, shift between the left limit when the colour starts and the mid point.

The car is very stable, controllable and reliable, so practice throttle control on Big Willow, if you need it.

Radical SR3 SL 2013

The Radical is one of the few street-legal racing cars in GT. This aria uses the Racing Transmission. While there are occasions when you may invoke understeer, such as with heavy braking, it isn't too bad. The Brake Controller helps with that. Most of the power understeer has also be controlled, but there is still some power oversteer, for those that want it, too. This tune makes the car feel responsive and controllable. The gears improve acceleration for the low powered car, a bit, too. Use the power curves to your advantage. Don't rev the engine too high.

Because the car is so low to the ground, using the roof cam is an advantage when entering corners.

Subaru Impreza Rally Car 1998

Consider this a preliminary tune. It has a few issues and it deserves a good, general tune. Then there are dirt and snow tunes. Oh joy. Front tires wear is pretty bad with a stock set-up.

You can be pretty aggressive when driving this 4WD car. Hard braking into corners is usually safe, and you should be able to start pulling close to an apex, if you are familiar with the track. This car has enough juice to drift, too.

The split tires help a lot with getting to the end of a race. Play around with downforce, to determine exactly how much you really need.

Volvo 240 SE Estate 1993

The Volvo Estate wagon has been a very popular car in its enhanced form. This aria is not that. Stock tires, power and weight, but tuneable. It's not too shabby. The default settings are not very desirable.

NISSAN GT-R Premium Edition T-spec 2024

This is a heavy car (1.76 tons!) with a bit of power to make it go, just under 7 lbs per HP. You need to understand how the car performs with this amount of weight, so practicing will help a lot. This GT-R may be at a disadvantage in a mixed car race with lighter cars.

These gears help a bit with acceleration and there is no tire slippage at all with Sport Medium tires on standing starts with all of this weight pressing down on them. Brake early enough that you don't induce understeer. Front tire wear has been reduced to close to the minimum, but it is still a factor with a 4WD car in GT.
