Just been racing the group 4 race at Yamagawa and the Gr3 at Bluemoon. Why when I am DR C am I getting grouped with Bs? I posted a really good time in the Gr 4 and though I would be up near the top and it would be a race I could win, but then I am racing loads of Bs. my time was second fastest C, but 2 seconds behind Top B. I thought the point of the system was to group drivers according toa ability. Anyway it was a good race, one of the cleanest, there were no incidents on the first lap that I could see me, though on the last lap I had a driver behind by about half a second and wondered why he was just waiting at a safe distance. Any way, last corner I though he is too far back, he throws it up the inside and uses me to breake and make the turn.

Also, bluemoon, don’t bother if you want to preserve any SR rating, all drivers had a red Symbol at the end, some As including myself. Everyone had started S.

Well, I assume you are about to be promoted to B and that's why the game starts matching you with B rated drivers - at least this is what I observed from my experience - my progress bar is 4-5 mm away from A (currently B) and I'm being matched with A's most of the time - not to mention that I had a couple of races with S/S as well.

Thought it might be something like that. Though if I’m top C, at least I would have a chance of winning against other Cs! I’ve only ever one won race, no chance at the moment.

Sometimes the servers probably cannot find enough people so they mix them up a little.

It is also depending how far you are up to 99 for the next level.

The game prioritizes matching you with other people who have the same SR rating.
I'm DR A and SR S and I've been matched with DR D drivers on a regular basis.

I have been in several races where there have been S/b's going up against an S/S or two and the rest S/A. I laughed thinking "what did they do to deserve this?". There was at least a 5 second difference in qualifying laps between the B's and the S's.

Don't feel bad, I've thrown qualifying laps down thinking I was king **** of turd hill only to find out I was 7th on the grid with a 1.5 second gap to pole.

According to my SR I had one good race, one bad race and one indifferent race on Blue Moon today (DR got a hammering though, my fault unfortunately). I quite like having a GT3 blast round there, though whilst the good races can be really good, the bad can be rather SR-harming!

The game prioritizes getting involved with people of your same letter but you should also see your time of qualification, not because you are C and you have a time of 1:20 it will put you with other C's of 1:30 (it's just an example)

Yes, done 4. First was carnage. 2 and 3 were good. On the fourth went from 15th to 6th with a clean race bonus and regained my S! If everyone is playing fair, it’s been great fun. Wish it was longer.

As a DR D, I usually am the fastest D driver on the DR D grid and start high but lately I've been put together with DR A and B's so I sit at middle or back of the grid and if I don't finish inside the top half of the field my DR drops hence never getting up into DR C. I pulled a 43.xx on the Sambabus Suzuka track but there were only one other DR D driver on the race I joined while the rest were A and B's and an S so I started 9th.

Get used to it. Since I maxed SR rating I always get DR.S at pole, DR.A in the top five, while I get to start mid pack with the DR.B crowd. I guess I'll find out if matchmaking is any better at lower SR ratings as 8 races on SR Down bay has dropped me from 99 to 52 SR, the game doesn't like draft bumping. It's fun helping people to victory, worth it. Not fun when the leader gets to drive alone in front.

I didn't take a screenshot, but one of the Sambabus Suzuka races I did had every single driver had a penalty symbol (including me, since I cut a corner trying to avoid a collision).

The matching is better Sven but only because most A and S drivers are at SR S.
