Max Drive help

This has probably been asked before, but i can't seem to find it when searching, my question is,

If i purchase a max drive, will it allow me to save gt4 replays to then transfer to my pc, or is it just photo's that are transferable?


Im sorry if this has asked before (i should really get to grips with the search function)

Yes - you can transfer ANY data from a memory card onto a MaxDrive.

If have an American PS2, I would recommend a Codebreaker. I have an American PS2 and find the Codebreaker far better than the Max Drive that I have for my PAL PS2. You will need a USB Memory Stick to use with the Codebreaker.

You can not transer a replay as a video though, it's just a small data file.

any idea how to convert a save replay (.max) to any format that compatible with wmp? i'm talking about software converter, not this one which we need to have tv tuner (which i don't have it).

Unfortunately, there is no way to convert a replay file into a video with your computer. The replay file only contains information about where you drove, what you and your opponents drove and what you did during the race. To make a video from that, you need GTs graphics, sound and physics engine, which you can only access through playing the replay file in Gran Turismo. Therefore, the only way to get a replay as a video is using a capture card.
