I mostly use all wheel drive cars and need setups that are good for both track built and drag. All my cars are fully tuned but I'm not sure how to get the most power out of them. I can't even get my '05 Subaru sti to 200mph:banghead:

Few road cars in GT6 work well, or even decently, maxed out. For that reason few tuners on GTP will tune a maxed out car.

Chect the tuning directory at the top of the tuning thread or @XS 's tune directory.

Good luck.
This 100%. Every road car has it's limits. Some are best almost completely stock, some are good nearly maxed out, and so on. It's not like the GT4 days where you could max out every car and add nitrous, which kinda sucks, but is also more realistic.

Transmission settings, particularly setting the correct shift points, can help a lot in this department. Praiano has written a very helpful guide for this. There is also a terrific transmission guide in the drag forums.

As far as max tunes go, Ronald6 is right on the money, laptimes will be better from a non maxed car. It really depends on your preference. Personally, I like trying to make them work anyway and the challenge of driving them.

The problem with 4WD's is that once you get above a certain amount of power you'll just get understeer. It causes wheelspin on all 4 wheels at once and once tyres lose traction the grip levels drop off sharply. In a RWD car it is manageable because the front wheels are still retaining rolling traction and you only have to worry about the rear, in a 4WD you lose both ends simultaneously and lose both steering and propulsion.
As for all out speed, that's just down to gearing and aerodynamics so read Praiano's guide and remove the rear wing + flat floor if fitted.
