Max Level is 20 for now?

Earlier today i ran into this.It said that i could no longer go up any more levels.

Is this the maximum level for now?I remember it saying something else like in the future i would be able to reach a higher level.Hopefully i can go up levels again as i don't want to waste the experience i am getting.

Out of curiosity, can you explain the mindset of "wasting xp"? People say the same thing about being lvl 40 in GT5. I don't understand. You aren't wasting anything because there is nothing past 20. The credit cap of 20mil will let you "waste" credits if you earn over the cap, as you could actually use the lost credits on something, but the lost xp couldn't be used for anything even if you received it.

I guess I just don't understand why these games need levels anyway...but yes, to answer your question, 20 is the max level.

Yeah looking at the level unlock rewards in the Autolog thing 20 is the highest. I'm already 16 but don't really care. I mean pretty much everything is already unlocked and I still have so many events to do.

I just brought it up on my PS3 and it says "You have reached the currently allowed maximum driver level."

This leads me to believe that later on the level cap will be higher.I could be wrong though.

It's very possible, though they'd also have to add a bunch of reasons for it to matter. eg more wheel options, events, etc

I guess. I always thought it would be cool for games like this if they just let you keep gaining levels indefinitely. Set up an equation that increases the XP required for each level and just let it go. You know some ADD kid somewhere will be sitting in his room with his eyes bleeding trying to find the level cap. It'd be great. That, and it'd just be a nice feeling to keep slowly going up in levels even if it didn't mean anything. Can you imagine in 6 months when we'd all be level 150 or something? That'd be rad.

OMG reminds me of Demon's Souls. Level cap was 713 or some nonsense hahaha. And people reached it!

Yeah i know

I was off work today so i stayed up til 1:00 AM last night playing(which is way past my bedtime) and i set my clock for 6:00 AM this morning and i played Shift2 from 6:30AM to 5:15PM.

I've gotten pretty good at this game now.Ever since i figured out the proper wheel settings for my Driving Force GT i've been loving this game more and more.

by the way i hate to hear you returned your game,i felt the same way about Test Drive Unlimited 2 and returned it tuesday.
