Max watched threads / notifications bug

Hey Guys,

Just a question here. is there a maximum amount of threads a person can follow. Every once in a while i don't get updates on threads i watch, when i revisit them it turns out there are one but usually more replies. Or could this be a notification bug.

Hey Kevin.

There is no maximum, but thread alerts and notifications might not work the way you think they do.

You only receive one alert or notification email per thread, the first time a new message is posted to it since you last read it. Until you "read" that thread again, you will not receive any further notifications for it. This prevents you from receiving a flood of notifications from highly active threads, and allows you to more easily ignore active threads which you may still be subscribed to but are no longer interested in.

I recommend clicking the "Watched Threads" link in the header of the forums to keep track of all the threads you are subscribed to which have new posts in them.

Thats an reasonable explaination still i think some notifications don't come through for me. its not a real big deal. at least ill try to collect some data if it re-occurs. Have very little to back up my feelings here. Anyway thanks for replying in a quick manner.
