Guys, I'm thinking of doing a 2 speed race on the Friday, 25th of May at 7:30PM GMT. Convert to your time here
So here are the ground rules
The Track
Nurburgring GP/F
A brilliant 3.199 mile long track. With a combination of corners such as the fast Schumacher S to the slow last chicane. The race will be 37 laps around this track.
The Cars
Mazda RX-7 Touring Car (DLC)
This is the faster of the 2. It's faster by about 15-20 seconds.
Modifications
Stock, and oil change and an engine rebuild later and you're ready to go. Also, no aero, transmission, suspension or LSD tuning. Brake balance changes will be allowed.
Mazda Roadster Touring Car (DLC)
This is the slower of the 2. It's about 15-20 seconds slower then the RX-7.
Modifications
Stock, and oil change and an engine rebuild later and you're ready to go. Also, no aero, transmission, suspension or LSD tuning. Brake balance changes will be allowed.
The Settings
Tuning: Prohibited
Tyres: Racing Hard and Racing Medium (you must start on the tyre you qualified and you must use both tyres in the race)
Aids: None, ABS 1
Distance: Will be decided after track decision
Slipstream: Weak
Tyre and Fuel Depletion: On
Damage: Light
Wet Track Grip: Real
Laps: 37
Qualifying
The room will be open 30 minutes before the start of qualy. Qualy itself will start at 7:30PM. It's 10 minute session in which you set your best time, this time decides the starting position.
Race Start
The race start will be pressed at 7:40PM. This race start will be a standing start with false check, allows for good starts and bad starts and generally spices things up a bit. Again, the race will be 37 laps.
Racing Etiquette
Please read and follow the GTP ORL
Multi Class Racing
RX-7: Please be patient while lapping Roadsters, they will not get off line for you and you have to go around them. Again, be patient.
Roadsters: Don't get off line for RX-7s, they will pass you. Please try to be considerate and not block them.
