Mazda logos....

Okay...I've been wondering something. Why does Mazda have two logos? There is :mazda: and there is another logo which is like one O inside another? My mom drives a '99 Millenia and it has the regular Mazda logo while a 626 which I saw on the road the other day had the funky logo. Can someone clear this up for me?

Well, there's a simple explanation for it. The "key" logo was from '93-'97, and the "Wing" emblem is from '98-current. All Mazdas have the "mazda" badge, that came out in '79 with the RX-7.

So, your mom's Millenia(BTW, is it an S?) has the new logo, while the 626 was a pre-'98 one.

And also, the "key" emblem was squared when it came out, but was forced to be rounded cause it was too close to the Renult logo, but the squared one is found on a ton of '93 Mazdas.

If it's supercharged, it's an S...they are fast...my dad took me in a test drive in one...went 130 in it lol.

Yeah, the S Millenia is extremely powerful, and the obvious choice against the Diamante and Avalon (and maybe even Maxima) - my only gripe is the low ceiling, headroom is a bugger, especially for the front-seaters.

I think that anyone would agree, though, that an E-class is a better decision than a Millenia! My brother bought a Millenia not too long ago (an S).
