StarLight Garage presents a very rare exotic racing car, the MCA Chiti MonzaCodaLunga GT. It's a little bit a weird car, just read the history.
I like the car very much and it's livery is also awesome. And since I have visited Monaco a few times I really fall in love for this car.
A truly unique piece of Monegasque motoring history.

Montecarlo Automobile is a car manufacturer which has produced race and street legal car on the top of vanguard since foundation in 1983 in Principality of Monaco by the engineer Fulvio Maria Ballabio who has been IndyCar Series and Offshore pilot. The royalty of Principality of Monaco has been close to Montecarlo Automobile plans since its foundation.

In 1993 the Centenaire V12 won its class in the six hours endurance of Vallelunga, this car would be in 2008 used for a new project and renamed to ALA 50, so this car gets the name: MCA ALA 50 1993.

The principality of Monaco has always had a strong link with motor sport which has of course a lot to do with the first Grand Prix held in 1929. But the Automobile Club of Monaco was already founded in 1890 under the name of Sport Vélocipédique Monégasque and the Princes' Louis II, Rainer III and the present Albert have always showed their passion for motorsport.

Albert in particular is also very sensitive to environmental and climate changes and has set up a foundation for research into biodiversity, climate change and water resources management. In the car world Monaco holds another record; as being the smallest country in the World having their own car manufacturer.

This is Monte Carlo Automobile which this year celebrates it's 30th anniversary by introducing the MCA/BRC Eco GT 12 and already having introduced the Rascasse supercar. A peculiarity of both these models is that they will use environmentally friendly fuels. The technical solution come from the collaboration with BRC which is global market leader of systems and components for conversion of natural gas and LPG.

This particular car was made in 1990 as a MCA Centenaire and is also still such a car in the Monegasque circulation booklet.
It was one of the two cars entered in the Le Mans 24 hour race of 1993 by the Georgian MIG Syndicate. It was there fitted with a specially developed V12 developed from the Lamborghini Countach engine by the legendary Alfa Romeo and Autodelta boss Carlo Chiti.

This engine's output was 750 hp from the bi-turbo boosted V12.The car s never qualified for the race itself but achieved a top speed on the Mulsanne of 354 km/h.. After this, this particular car, went back to MCA where it served as a development car trying different engines and technical solutions for future projects, the carbon fibre tub making this easy.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Alfa Romeo’s motorsports arm Autodelta, and its founder Carlo Chiti. They introduced the track car, Chiti MonzaCodaLunga GT, heir to the Centenaire V12 of 1993 and made the experience of Monaco quadrifuel with a engine 6 cylinder, 3 liter Alfa Romeo, 300 hp, bifuel. Only 20 units would be built.

The Eco friendly Alfa Romeo 3-litre engine capable of running on 4 different environmentally friendly fuels. It took part in the FIA Alternative Energies Cup ( FIA, ACI, CSAI) winning 1st in class for natural gas vehicles. In 2010 it competes in another ECO series fitted with a VW 6 litre W12 running on natural gas In 2012, the car was fielded by the BRC Racing Team at the 4 hours of Monza and in the international Open class by amongst other drivers, Arturo Merzario Ownership is passed to the Grimaldi Family and it was for a number of years in Prince Albert Collection Car Museum here in Fontvieille and still owned by a member of the Grimaldi family.
