McAfee. Oh why do you anger me so much.

My stupid McAfee Firewall won't let me post on GTPlanet. It keeps displaying a Page Cannot be Displayed error, but when I stop the Firewall, it works perfectly. Why does it do this?

hey if i was u i wouldnt have anything to do with Norton it is one the poorest out there, doesnt pick up all known visuses, and if it doesn, it picks up all wrong ones, i installed it once, and it told me msn messenger was virus, lmfao, what the hell with that, i recoment downloading AVG antivirus as a virus checker, and Sygate pro firewall if u really need one, just thought id share my opinions with u bud thanks, c ya!

Australian PC User magazine recommends Eset NOD32 for antivirus software. They reckon it picks up more viruses than any other and it's scan speeds are unbelievable.

That's most likely because it detected messenger trying to access the internet and send data. You have to tell the program to permit that kind of behavior(at least the first time). I've been using Norton Personal Firewall for a few months now and haven't had a single problem.

Just install a hardware firewall.

I'm disagreeing with you there. NAV (Norton Antivirus) is a great product. I've been using it for about 3 or 4 years and I've never had a problem with it. Never caught a virus either.

Its a well known fact that Norton does not pick up as many viruses then AVG, and McAffe, which is a very good Virus Protector to, But its up to use what you want to download and install, i prefer to use AVG, and Sygate Firewall, even though i dont really need a Firewall if anyway i aint har to argue, just to share my own personnal opinions, i run MSN messenger, and i am quite a lot, or close to my computer, feel free to add me if any of use would like at LukeyD2003@msn.com

Wherever you read that is giving you flase information. In my mag they tested both Norton and AVG (and heaps more) by placing viruses on there computer and scanning the PC with different AV software. Norton and Eset NOD32 were the only 2 that picked up every virus. AVG did a good job, but it didn't detect all of them and also picked a few false positives (not good).
