So we wait till 8:05PM tomorrow evening to see the first ball kicked under the new and exciting era.

Greece at Old Trafford are the opposition and venue.

OT is expected to sell about 45,000 seats, so alot under it's capacity limit.

2-1 win for me.

Dean Ashton has broken his ankle, ruling him out of the Greece game in what would have been his England debut :guilty:

Does anyone still have Theo Walcott's phone number? :ill:

This is a real shame IMO because Ashton could turn out to be a real Quality player.

Also I think the formation is
Code:
[center]G.Neville(rb) R.Ferdinand(cb) Terry(cb) A.Cole(lb)

Gerrard(rmf) Lampard(omf) Hargreaves(dmf) Downing(lmf)

Defoe(st) Crouch(cf)[/center]

I know Gerrard played on the Right side for liverpool and has done pretty well there, hopefully Lampard should show improvement having Hargreaves play behind him helping to break up play in the same way he does at Chelsea. I don't know about Downing though, he's never been the same since he was out inured for a while but he should be able to supply crosses and was pretty good at freekicks as well. I just wonder if Defoe can actually make an impact on the match, hopefully he can being a starter.

Wait
4 NILL WHAT GOD DAMN INTERNET STREAM HURRY UP

Edit: SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUPA CROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUCH

crouch stole a 2nd goal off lamps! well played to all the team-but as usual lamps goal was deflected-but if you dont shoot you dont score! GOAARRRRN! 6-0 IMO

Well today was his second Englad game, a very uninspiring event too may I add. It was a convincing 5-0 win, but we might as well have been paying against cones.

well the fact that none of them are professional footballers except the goalie pretty much summed up their perforamnce. One of thier sub's was a policeman, another player on their team was a teacher.

And who had a quid on it being 5-0? :D

I really don't see the point in these games, really... All due respect to Andorra, they should be allowed to compete, but is it necessary for them to have to humiliate themselves against the likes of England?? :guilty:

That Policeman player - imagine working as a cop all week and then, for a bit of relaxation, having a game of 11-a-side at the weekend in a stadium that is big enough to contain the entire population of your country...

On the other hand, he works as a cop in Andorra. How hard can it be?

Doesn't everybody know everybody in Andorra, to put things into perspective, I live in Didsbury which is a small area in South Manchester, there's 1 village inthe ceneter of Didsbury. Te population in Didsbury in 2001 was 14,292, the entire population of Andorra is just over 70,000 so Andorra has 4 times the population of the small area I live in. The city of Manchester had a population of 392,819 and that's just the city, Greater Manchester had a population of 2,482,328 back in 2001.

There's 1,886 crimes per 100,000 population in Andorra. Andorra's population is 65,000, meaning that there were only just over 1,200 crimes of any variety in Andorra in any given year. That's less than 4 crimes a day.
