McLaren M6GT 1969

The McLaren M6GT was made in two versions - road and race, the road version being Bruce Mclarens vision of a road car and in my view one of the most beautiful cars ever made. I remember reading a road test of this car in Motor magazine many years ago in which they listed the top speed as 225mph (since then I have read a figure of 175mph which sounds more plausible). It was powered by a dry sump 5.7 litre Chevrolet engine producing 575bhp. Apologies for the foreign language and cheesy seventies music, but it is a great clip - It would be nice if a French speaker could translate part of the voice over.




Personally I would love to have the road and race versions in the game and I think that as Mclarens first road car the M6GT has special historical significance.

What a fantastic car. PD could do worse than add this beaut to GT7.

I must agree as it does sound awesome. Those old V8s had a special noise, even the contemporary ones sound great, but there is something about the shrieking wail of a V10 that I cannot resist.
