You can't have too many Can Am cars.

Many players will be too young to remember the great and thunderous days of Can Am when the world's top drivers (including virtually all the F1 drivers) drove Group 7 unlimited sports prototypes. They were at times faster than F1 and definitely more innovative and it is from Can Am that many developments came.

Sadly we just have the Chaparral 2D and 2J (and Toyota 7 which was a Group 7 car) - we need many more so this is a plea to all players to use the alphabetic search and hunt out these cars and vote on them. There is a lot to love about these cars - incredible speed and acceleration, great looks and sound, good visibility when using cockpit view, huge engines - sometimes bigger than 8 litres, lightweight, no traction control, massive power and torque - up to 1500bhp from the Porsche and Shadow and 1400 lbs torque from the final version of the Shadow.

Shadow DN4
Ferrari 712 - 7 litre V12 engine!
McLaren - many including this one plus M1A, M6, M8D, M8F
Lola T70, T260
Ford Honker 2
Matra Simca MS - several variants were raced in Can Am and had glorious sounding F1 derived engines
Porsche 917
