Had nothing to do so I tested how to get the most out of the transmission for the MP4-12.
The transmission skids on the clutch if you go over certain revolutions per minute when you change gear.
These values are the maximum revs you may hit before it starts to skid and simply idles for up to half a second depending on how near you are the safe engine output speed compared to transmission speed.
1st->2nd gear = less than 4.5k rev
2nd->3rd gear = less than 6k rev
3rd->4th gear = less than 7.9k rev
4th->5th gear = less than 9.6k rev
5th->6th gear = Rev limiter hits first, don't hit 9.8k or more
6th->7th gear = Rev limiter hits first, don't hit 9.8k or more
