I have searched for info on this car in this forum but not much comes up..... no titles and mostly referring to the F1 getting P1 in qualifying! :)

At 3.6 million credits, is it worth looking at? Anyone know where it can be raced?

The car is simply phenomenal, insane top speed and fantastic grip, when driven by the right hands. No doubt one of my favorites in the game.

But as a Gr.X you won’t be able to use it in any current GT League races, and it’s likely never going to be in Sport Mode either. So it’s limited to Time Trial, Custom Races (one make), and of course, unrestricted Online lobbies.

It does pair fantastically with the Zonda R on track. Hopefully one day we will get a GT League event for these track-day cars. Even better than that, would be to get a new group for them, provided PD adds the FXX, F1 GTR, et al.

I forgot this car even exists.

Again another of the Gr.X clown cars that just cant be used in much but a single make series.

They should at least let you custom race with other Gr.X cars.
 
Thanks all for the really useful info - looks like it will be in my garage soon and entering custom races! That's a feature I haven't used much but this is likely to change.đź‘Ť
 
So, I bought it..... without upgrading power (but full weight reduction) it's the second fastest car around the big oval - second only to the SRT Tomahawk GrX!! Just faster than Huayra (full power upgrade!).
Around Red Bull Ring - er, ARTAsean is right "... when driven by the right hands."!! Not mine, just yet! Did eventually get around without spinning, takes some practice.

Rather than a Custom Race I did single race in Arcade..... 20 P1s charging around Blue Moon Bay.... what a sight :cheers::)

The P1 GTR is a terrifically fun car. I remember the first time I drove it, at Monza, and being surprised by the braking at T1. It didn't stop and ploughed through the chicane. Significant change for L2 was required. Get comfortable with it and it is savage everywhere. I must try Nordschleife at night though.

Forgot to mention - after paying for level 2 power upgrade, I noticed that the upgrades you pay for are actually downgrades- :(

I must look at the upgrades. It is something I very rarely do but I have started to buy them instead of letting Mileage Points go to waste as I have everything from the Mileage Exchange.

Mclaren P1 is way better then zonda r in any aspect. P1 has more grip, more downforce and much better acceleration. I dont think they pair "fantastically".

Silly me, I forgot you can’t change tires, downforce, power, and weight in GT Sport

Even if you lock both of their hp and weight to same level Mclaren will still out perform zonda because of its ers and downforce.

They wont pair well unless pd creates a bop for track day cars.

Along with the 787B, the P1 GTR is one of my favourites at the moment. Its one of the few cars for which I use a bit of TCS (lvl 1). Challenging and super satisfying beast to tame.

I always use the 787b when there is Gr1 race. But I cannot use that mclaren... that sound it makes... its like a fruit juicer inside a bottle. Horrible.
