On the front wheel arch you can barely make out the address of the designer's website which has a couple more pictures:

The last one in particular looks like a bizarre mix of the Audi R8 LMP and an F1 car.

It's garbage. Those front wheels must be very skinny to fit in those covers, and there's an odd-looking bulge in the middle of the car. The nose makes it look like Pinocchino.

I can't wait to see all the bull:censored: regulations cars like this would have if they actually raced.

When looking at it in comparison to the Red Bull X1 (refuse to call it the X2010), doesn't look very refined. Looks too narrow for a driver to even fit in and the aerodynamics are abit busy and not flowing whereas the X1 has a more streamlined flow (including full wheel covers).

Pretty much. It looks like a current F1 that's been photoshopped with strange boxes. It's also terribly ugly. But I wouldn't bet against F1 cars looking like that in 30 years time though.

No idea why everyone is stressing about the aerodynamics. This is the first I have heard of either and as far as I think, feel and know it is never going to be ratified. The McClaren car is just a mock-up on a computer by a nerd who has too much time on his hands and the X1 was built to be a mock-up of a car raced on a computer game.

The X2010/11/14 aerodynamics were calculated like on a real race car though, so they would work (not exactly like in the game of course). I like the idea of having more manufacturers with cars similar to the RedBull X vehicles, but the render above wouldn't work because of already mentioned reasons.

How dare you make a post of such common sense. I'm reporting you. Pretend that it somehow matters when someone makes a drawing of a made up car like everyone else.

I will just copy-paste my reply to another thread about the same topic.

So a talented design artist who needs to be hired by MclarenMercedes or PD.

I don't think so. At a glance, it looks like a nifty race car design. However, it appears to me to simply be about form and not about function. Adrian Newey, perhaps the best-known and successful Formula One engineer, designed the Red Bull X2010. Some random bloke did the other one there, and somehow I doubt it pulls from any F1 engineering knowledge base and it doesn't look to take into account any concept other than trying to be as slender as possible, which would serve to reduce drag but simply focusing on reducing drag has been an outdated concept in motorsports for many decades. Early F1 cars were torpedoes with very slender tires, but since then the tires got wider because they need to do more beyond just keeping the car off the ground, and the bodies became quite a bit more complex as they started using air flow rather than trying to avoid air.

can pirelli tyres take that much g-force? :boggled:

If they weren't made to the ridiculous specifications the FIA have (or not used in a way that would force that to happen), maybe.
