Sprint racing on eifel kart tracks specifically chosen for the Honda Beat!

Schedule:

Tuesday 22 May @ 12pm PDT / 3pm EDT / 8pm BST / 9pm CEST / 19:00 UTC
or
Wednesday 23 May @ 4pm PDT / 7pm EDT / Midnight BST / 23:00 UTC

Event Duration: Approximately 90 minutes

Car Regulations:

Allowed Models:
  • Honda BEAT '91
  • Honda BEAT Version F '92
  • Honda BEAT Version Z '93
Comfort Medium Tires
Tuning: Prohibited
Allowed: oil change, engine rebuild, chassis restoration, wheel rims, & paint

Race Regulations:
All aids off except ABS (driver's choice)
tire wear on
damage light
slipstream weak
grip real
penalty off
boost off

Points:
flat points determined by participation # in each race
(ie: 10 drivers in the race, #1 gets 10 points, and so forth)

Race Procedure:
10 minute qualifying duration
all cars stay on track until race start to preserve position
fastest first grid start
Race #1: 4 laps @ Microschliefe: "The Green Heck"
3 minute break
Reverse Grid Order
Race #2: 4 laps @ Microschliefe: "The Green Heck"
3 minute break
Reverse Grid Order
Race #3: 4 laps @ Bottle Opener
3 minute break

If you can't find the track to download, post in this thread to ask, and someone will get it shared.

Race will be hosted in the MCRC Lounge, add PSN: MCRC_Lounge
Get the FR in a.s.a.p. to assure acceptance in advance of racing.
In order to check the league lounge, you must click on the coffee cup,
and wait for the room content list to present.
No yellow people icon will show, even when the room is full.

Rules:
GTP OLR Rules
  • Please familiarize yourself with these rules prior to the event.
  • If you cause a contact, you must make contact concessions. ie: no bump-passing
  • Failure to make contact concessions will result in a post-race penalty concession. (ie: you will be placed below that racer in the results)
  • Retaliation, "payback", & monkey-see-monkey-do rule flouting will not be tolerated.
  • In the case where a driver does not participate in the previous race or leaves the lounge between races for any reason (including the unfortunate event of an involuntary disconnect), that driver will be placed in front on the grid according to RGO, and therefore, will voluntarily move aside letting the field pass, and start the race from the back of the grid. The purpose of this is to prevent scoffing.

Just wanted to give people enough time to get a honda beat, and perhaps have time to test out the tracks. 👍
 
I'd love to join but I don't have a Beat yet and it'll take another 150 in game days to get one. I should be able to get it in time though.

I'd rather get it myself if I'm honest. I should be able to get one soon actually, though I was hoping for the regular '91 Beat rather than the Version Z or F.

I'm not sure what day is better yet. I'll let you know when it gets closer. I may be able to do both.

I have yet to figure any difference between them myself. I like them all. They all look pretty much the same to me. They have the same specs. They all seem to handle the same (at least to me).
Well, the one only comes in the one colour, but it's a nice colour, and you can always paint it anyway.
 
I could do either, would depend on my work schedule and my insane amount of class work. HAHA

Dang, I wish I could join this.. I freakin' love the Beat! It's one of the few cars that I've never passed up in the UCD (so I have lots of them). dylansan, let me know if you want me to send you a '91.

From what I've read that differences in years were just a few minor cosmetic changes.

The only notable difference is that the '93 has a small spoiler on it, but if it'll really change anything I dunno. I doubt that it'll make an notable difference.

I like having a line-up with small variations in the cars, adds a little more variety.

If I enter this, I'll be using a yellow Beat with dark grey wheels, like the one in the obscure Winding Heat arcade game.
 
I may have to join Wednesday after what happened today (Tuesday), hopefully there'll be more competitors.

Remember to sign in a few minutes early to get the 2.06 patch.
 
Good races today, despite late arrivals and a low turn-out. Hope to race some more for the Wednesday. Very fun. I love the Beat. :)

Because I didnt know what the cars was like and didnt know the track and people at home distracting me I couldnt enjoy this as much as I would have wanted :(

Although thankyou for another evening of racing, really enjoy these races you organise :)
 
Sorry guys. I'm to busy with my job for the moment. Working again this evening.

For yesteday, I simply forgot the race was planned on 2 days.
