Measuring and comparing your cars top speed/acceleration

Why is it so hard for PD to include this at the start of GT6 and GT5? Maybe it is just me but I really like comparing all the acceleration and top speeds of my garage. On GT4 we had the Las Vegas drag strip which while it didn't give you figures you could get a time. On GT5 the SSX DLC was perfect for what I wanted, but it came out by the time I had 100+ cars in my garage. It must be relatively simple for them to put it in the game from the start..?

Like I said, it might just be me that likes doing this, as I haven't seen much other complaints about it..

I used to use the "speed tests" in GT 1-4 all the time. It would show 0-60, 60-100, quarter mile time and top speed... Fun feature, not sure why it would be removed...

Same here. Also, I drag race a lot online with friends (not tried it in GT6 yet) and it would be cool to have a drag race feature to compare times.

Supposedly, drag racing is the most popular form of Motorsport in the US (yes, beyond NASCAR)

Its a wonder why their aren't any games about, or why it's not supported/represented in GT or Forza more... A painfully simple feature set I would think...

I think Nissan wanted it removed because it proved the R35 GTR couldn't do 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds

What!?

So, it CAN do it in real life but because it can't in a game Nissan want it removed?

Wouldn't it be very simple and more accurate for PD to increase the acceleration of the GT-R to match it?

But anyway, the reason it can't do it in 2.8 secs in game is because it doesn't have the launch control which is how the GT-R manages it in real life. (its actually 2.7secs)
It would take about 3.5 without which is what it does in game so it is accurate

Anyway on topic, SSX is included in the game so why they have actively removed the benchmark timing is rather suspicious.
If they try to sell it to us as DLC i will have lost even more respect for PD than i have already, especially after i already bought it in GT5!

A test no independent can match. It's usually 3.3 - 3.5 when somebody else tests it. Wouldn't be like Nissan to pull porkies now would it???

But anyway, carry on.......
