Built to fill the void that the passing of TVR and Marcos left in the British sports car industry, the Wildcat is a TVR Griffith-esque sports convertible that is powered by a reworked version of the 4.5 litre V8 found in the TVR Cerbera. This engine produces 450 bhp and just over 400lb/ft of torque, which combined with the Wildcat's kerb weight of just 998 kilos, endows it with supercar worrying performance : 60 mph arrives in just 3.5 seconds, and the beast thunders on to a max speed of 180 mph.

Only seven Wildcat's have been produced by Melling so far (including a speedster variant), and it would be a greatly welcomed addition to the British sports car lineup on GT...

Hopefully it's better finished than a TVR was. Saw a yellow Tuscan ages ago with its hood open, and its owner looking desperate...I went on about my business; I was done a couple o' hours later and TVR was still stricken but now with more crowd looking on. Was a sad sight.
