memory card battle

does anybody remember that gt1 had a "memory card battle" option where you and a friend who had brought thier memory card with a gt1 save on could race each other's 'best' car to see which one was better? i liked and enjoyed this, so i was dissapointed to see that they took this out of gt4 . anyone else?

They didn't take it away but they moved it a bit, the two player mode still allows you to use your own cars with one single restriction - road cars can't take race tyres. Otherwise it works just as it did in the good old days.

Also as far as I know, they cant use driving aids either.

not exactly, i meant that this two player mode you cant have your car how you tuned it in gt mode, it also has special colour restrictions, etc...

Yes you can, but you have to choose the cars from your memory card garage instead of the stock car selection. I can't give exact instructions as I'm not at my PS2 now but the garage option is there and the cars will have the exact tuning parts you have bought, as well as the setups you have made on them.
