memory card

whats the big deal about having a memory card to save game progress! well if you just want to take alook at the cars and races the bio means, but I gusse that kaz didn't think about that.:grumpy::grumpy::grumpy::grumpy::grumpy::grumpy::grumpy::banghead::banghead::banghead:

The big deal would have to do with saving your progress.
There are things you MUST do to run some of the harder races. Doing all the licenses tests over each time you boot the game would majorly suck!
Plus. ALL of the cars that are available to own, are sometimes not available to look at when you peruse the dealers, and the used car lots.
But you were being sarcastic and already knew that. Otherwise, you don't actually really get the whole Gran Turismo as the Real Driving Simulator thing.
Seeing as that is the premise of this forum, I choose to believe that you are not being obtuse.

Hoo, that was one of the worst posts EVAR! I couldn't read that. I figure it's just a matter of time before the thread's locked.

Edit: Wait, I think that he hasn't even gone into the simulation mode yet. :)

Even so, only a relative few of the cars are available in the Arcade mode.
Every car you buy or win becomes available, but from the jump, there are a lot of cars you can't drive simply because they aren't available.

Which, I agree, is incredibly stupid, though it has nothing to do with the original post. Let's see:

1) As soon as you get in a new car, it saves your game, so you're stuck with it forever. Check.

2) Lots of cars are not even available in Arcade mode until you buy them. Check.

HUH?! Did they even play test this game one little bit?! How in the name of trees are you supposed to test drive a car before you commit to spending good credits on it?

...begging the question of why I have to go through such arcaneries instead of simply having all cars available in arcade mode from Day One.

I mean, what else is Arcade for?!

Well, quite. At least in previous games you had to do something in Arcade Mode, whereas in GT4 Arcade Mode is just there and you can't have all of it until you've bought every other car in Simulation Mode and done so many days that all the tracks are unlocked...
