I feel this is a topic many members will experience, but haven’t the information to understand. Hopefully, will help a partner or child or parent and general public to understand in giving support to those experiencing premenopause, perimenopause and menopause.

Thankfully my wife's experience (she is in perimenopause) has been excellent. Key things all women and (and partners etc) must do is talk to each other. My wife and her friends talk about this stuff a lot and are therefore able to discuss what's happening to them and also discuss the merits and deficiencies of the medication and other treatments which allows them to have knowledgeable discussions with their doctors.

My wife's top 3 with regards to menopause are:

Talk to your friends and family.
Insist on the right mix of HRT for your current needs.
Start lifting weights.

What's also great is that my workplace has been leading the charge on menopause for a few years now (workshops, conferences, "TED style" talks from the likes of Davina McCall etc.) and so everyone at my company has become very knowledgeable about it.

Menopause is one of those things that’s rarely talked about, but it’s such a big deal when you’re going through it. My daughter went through it a couple of years ago, and honestly, I had no idea how tough it could be for her—hot flashes, mood swings, sleepless nights. I saw how much she was struggling, and I felt a bit lost on how to help.

We tried a few things, like over-the-counter supplements and hormone replacement therapy, but nothing seemed to really stick. That’s when we decided to give medical cannabis a shot. It helped with her anxiety and made it easier for her to sleep, which in turn made a huge difference in her mood and energy levels. It didn’t fix everything, but it definitely helped her feel more like herself again.
